[Manga] Hell's Paradise Volume 3: Understanding the Island and the powerfull Lord Tensen

  Well, Volume 3 of Hell's Paradise. I am a bit late to write about this one since I already finished the 4th Volume! After the emotional volumes 1 and 2, where we get attached to the feelings of Sagiri and Gabimaru and maybe we start to cheer for their success more and more, this volume explains more about what is going on on the mysterious island with the crazy insects and giant monsters.

  Here we finally meet the beings behind everything that happens on the island called Lord Tensen: 7 supreme beings that are almost godlike in their characteristics; they can switch genders when they want and control their Tao with perfection, using it for physical restoration and balance with nature. They can become either male or female since they can control the Yin and Yang of their bodies, so they can switch anytime. They are powerful,l and our group of criminals and samurai start to meet some of them and have some trouble.

  They met also this tree like guy called Hoko, he was a human and he was born and raised in the island. He introduced all the history and geography of the place to Sagiri, Yuzuriha, Gabimaru, and Senta. Also,o he explained the Elixir of Life, or as it is known, Tan, which is the liquid produced by humans that decomposes and is absorbed by the island and used by the 7 Lord Tensen to keep their regeneration and immortality. On top of Hoko, they also meet this little girl who leaves with Hoko for a while, and he takes care of her, called Mei.

  We have an interesting emotional part. The samurai Tenza and the convicted Nurugai, a young kid, face the Lord Tensen Zhu Jin. The former sensei of Tenza, the blind Shion,n appears to help, but it looks worthless. Tenz sacrifices his life to save Nurugai and Shion. It is painful for Shion to see his former pupil die, and Nurugai also feels the pain of losing her friend. Also, Gabimaru faces Zhu Jin after that, when he founds the gate to Horai. Gabimaru isn't powerful enough since he is mostly powerful but doesn't dominate the Tao and Yin Yang; the little Girl Mei, and what we thought was just a weak regular kid, in reality is much more powerful than we thought. She basically creates a shield and escapes from Lord Tensen.

  The volume introduces a bit of what volume 4 brings and how things are getting heated when they finally meet this god-like enemy. The author got right to start explaining a bit everything to understand a bit more about the context of this island and what our main characters are looking for. It is sad to see Tenza being killed, probably from all the characters being killed until now he was the character that I got most attached to.

  Bem, chegamos ao volume 3 de Hell's Paradise. Estou um pouco atrasado para escrever sobre ele, já que já terminei o volume 4! Depois dos volumes 1 e 2, tão emocionantes, nos quais nos apegamos aos sentimentos de Sagiri e Gabimaru e talvez comecemos a torcer cada vez mais pelo sucesso deles, este volume explica melhor o que está acontecendo na misteriosa ilha, com seus insetos bizarros e monstros gigantes.

  Finalmente conhecemos os seres por trás de tudo o que acontece na ilha, chamados Lordes Tensen: sete seres supremos com características quase divinas. Eles podem mudar de gênero quando quiserem e controlar perfeitamente seu Tao, usando-o para restaurar o corpo e manter o equilíbrio com a natureza. Como conseguem controlar o Yin e o Yang de seus corpos, podem assumir formas masculinas ou femininas e mudar entre elas a qualquer momento. Eles são poderosos, e nosso grupo de criminosos e samurais começa a encontrar alguns deles e a enfrentar dificuldades.

  Eles também conheceram um sujeito com aparência de árvore chamado Hoko. Ele era humano e nasceu e cresceu na ilha. Hoko apresentou toda a história e a geografia do lugar a Sagiri, Yuzuriha, Gabimaru e Senta. Além disso, explicou o Elixir da Vida, também conhecido como Tan, um líquido produzido pelos humanos que, após sua decomposição, é absorvido pela ilha e utilizado pelos sete Lordes Tensen para manter sua regeneração e imortalidade. Além de Hoko, eles também conhecem uma garotinha chamada Mei, que passa um tempo com ele e fica sob seus cuidados.

  Temos aqui um momento emocionante e interessante. O samurai Tenza e a jovem condenada Nurugai enfrentam o Lorde Tensen Zhu Jin. Shion, o antigo mestre de Tenza, que é cego, aparece para ajudar, mas parece que seus esforços serão em vão. Tenza sacrifica a própria vida para salvar Nurugai e Shion. É doloroso para Shion ver seu antigo discípulo morrer, e Nurugai também sofre com a perda de sua amiga. Depois disso, Gabimaru enfrenta Zhu Jin ao encontrar o portão de Horai. Gabimaru não é poderoso o suficiente, pois, apesar de ser muito forte, ainda não domina o Tao nem o Yin e o Yang. A pequena Mei, que pensávamos ser apenas uma criança comum e frágil, na verdade é muito mais poderosa do que imaginávamos. Ela basicamente cria um escudo e consegue escapar do Lorde Tensen.

  O volume apresenta um pouco do que vem pela frente no volume 4 e mostra como as coisas estão ficando mais intensas agora que eles finalmente encontram esse inimigo com poderes divinos. O autor fez bem em começar a explicar as coisas para que possamos entender melhor o contexto dessa ilha e o que nossos personagens principais estão procurando. É triste ver Tenza morrer. Entre todos os personagens que morreram até agora, ele provavelmente foi aquele de quem mais gostei e a quem mais me apeguei.
