Headed out to dance… by myself

It’s been a long time since I tried to pull off exactly what I’m doing right now.

I’m currently in a Lyft headed to the city. I live in a near west suburb of Chicago so this isn’t really that big of a deal. When my wife and I decided to move out of the city when we were trying to have kids we made a pledge to never move so far out of the city so we would not feel like we could head into Chicago for a game, dinner… or club. Well tonight I’m taking advantage of that decision.

I’m in my 50s. That is way too old to go out dancing… unless it's been in your blood for the past 39 years.

well its in my blood so i find myself in the back of a Lyft headed to late bar in Chicago.

I also find myself too drunk to care about grammar and spelling so good luck to all of you reading this.

My wife and I went out to dinner. I had three amazing 😻 led fahioneds so I may be a tad altered when it comes to making this decision .

While we watched vision quest, my mind wandered and I looked up what this club had going on tonight. I stublend across their playlist from last year.

Sure enough it included so much industrial and techno that I love that I simply had to order a Lyft.

I sent an all call to all of my friends but they are all way tooo old to jump on board, but that’s cool. If just be ignoring them while I was on the dance floor any way,

I’m not sure if the driver did this when they saw my destination but he’s rocking all sorts of techno.

Ok. Got to go. I need to pound some Gatorade and stretch before I call on these 50 year old joints and muscles to spring into action!

An excellent and very smart decision—moving away, yet still being able to head into the city to have fun and enjoy the activities you love. After all, life can’t be all work, and there’s no age limit on having a good time—just be mindful to drink in moderation, since things aren’t quite the same as they were in our 20s! In any case, your friends don’t know what they missed out on by not joining you. Best wishes—keep enjoying your weekend just as you should, and remember to get enough rest to recover!

Haha, age is clearly not stopping you. 😄 It’s nice that you still make time for the things you love. Enjoy your night and dance like nobody is watching.

good for you to hit the dance floor again, hopefully with polished shoes

"Too old" is a myth when the music is in your blood.😂
