We're still discovering the various murals created during the Mural Festival in June around Saint-Laurent Boulevard in Montreal. Today, we're featuring the mural of Izabelle Duguay which covers the entire building at the corner of Parc du Portugal.
Nous sommes toujours en train de découvrir les différentes murales réalisées lors du Mural Festival en juin autour du boulevard Saint-Laurent à Montréal. Aujourd'hui, il s'agit de l'œuvre de Izabelle Duguay qui englobe tout le batiment au coin du Parc du Portugal.

The mural is located at the corner of Saint-Laurent Boulevard and Marie-Anne Street, overlooking Portugal Park in Montreal. This building often serves as a canvas for artists participating in the Mural Festival (see below 🔽).

Izabelle Duguay
Izabelle Duguay is a mural artist based in Montreal. This isn't the first post about this artist, who is active in the city's various festivals. Her murals are always colorful, with nature in the foreground—a welcome respite from the asphalt and concrete.
Izabelle Duguay est une artiste muraliste basée à Montréal. Ce n'est pas le premier post sur cette artiste active dans les différents festivals de la ville. Ces murales sont toujours colorées avec la nature au premier plan. Ce qui fait du bien au milieu de l'asphalte et le béton.
I was able to see the mural's progress during the ten days of the Mural Festival. From the very first days, the section on Marie-Anne Street was already well underway, especially at the top with the mountains and the moon. On Saint-Laurent Boulevard 🔽, I was able to see a bit more of the artist's preparatory work.
J'ai pu voir l'évolution de la murale pendant les dix jours du Mural Festival. Dès les premiers jours, la partie sur la rue Marie-Anne était déjà bien avancée surtout en haut avec les montagnes et la lune. Sur le boulevard Saint-Laurent 🔽, j'ai pu voir un peu plus voir le travail préparatoire de l'artiste.
The artwork is called "Touching the Horizon," a vibrant landscape featuring mountains and water. Perhaps it represents the St. Lawrence River with the mountains of the lower St. Lawrence, although the peaks aren't that high.
L'œuvre s'appelle « Toucher l’horizon », un paysage ultracoloré avec des montagnes et de l'eau. Peut-être le fleuve Saint-Laurent avec les montagnes du bas Saint-Laurent bien que ce n'est pas si haut avec des pics comme cela.
The composition is truly successful with its vibrant colors; a painting placed in the heart of the city. I really like it. And you, what do you like it?
La composition est vraiment réussie avec ces couleurs vives, un tableau posé au milieu de la ville. J'aime beaucoup. Et vous qu'en pensez-vous ?
