Greetings, dear friends at Indiaunited. In my first post to the community, I’m pleased to participate in this contest dedicated to pets
Theme-:"What Is It Like to Have a Pet?Theme-:"What Is It Like to Have a Pet?. I’ve had dogs for as long as I can remember. When I was very young, my parents had three dogs—two males and one female. I remember their names perfectly: Cutin and Bam Bam, the males, and Nunú, the female of the pack. Cutin contracted parvovirus and died when he was 9 years old, while Nunú and Bam Bam passed away when they turned 15.
I've always felt love and compassion for animals; I like to take care of them and show them affection. I've never had cats as pets, but I still show them affection. My mother never liked having cats in the house, but she didn't hurt them either—just as I loved animals.

I currently have two dogs, Muñeca and Coco, although there was a time when I promised myself I wouldn’t have any more pets. When my last dog, my beloved Blacky, died, I didn’t want to have any more dogs because I didn’t want to go through the pain of losing them. However, despite my reluctance to have pets, my dog Muñeca came into my life when I least expected it. She was wandering down my street; I felt sorry for her, so I gave her food and water for several days. She was scared at first, but as the days went by, she began to trust me.
One day I realized she was in heat, so I decided to take her in. After spending those few days caring for her, I just couldn't let her go. Coco is also shy; he had been abandoned and was very sad. Today, they're both very happy with me. Muñeca has been with us for 8 years now, and Coco for almost 3 years.

If I were to have pets again, they would be dogs—they’re my best friends; they keep me company and fill me with joy. When they spot me from a distance, they jump for joy and come to the door to wait for me to come in. I always thank God for bringing them into my life. They’re two angels whom I take care of every day to make sure they’re healthy and happy.
I take care of them at all times, making sure they have food, clean water to drink, and a clean bed to sleep in. I bathe them often and keep them free of ticks and other parasites. I keep an eye on their mood; if they’re sad, it’s because they’re not feeling well or are sick. Once, when I was taking care of them, they both got sick, but thank God everything turned out okay. I also spend time playing with them—there are three of us in the pack.

I think it's hard to teach them good manners; it takes time, patience, and dedication. However, in my opinion, the hardest part of taking care of a dog is when they get sick and then watching them pass away. Their lives are short, and it's very painful to see them sick and elderly, when their little bodies can no longer recover and they leave us. I look at my dogs and wish they could live forever.
My two little angels, Muñeca and Coco. This was my entry.
