[Anime] Soul Land, a masterpiece Donghua {review}

In recent days Donghua (another anime type based on Chianese tradition and culture) is getting popular. I am watching Donghua for 5/6 years and I guess I never write any review one any Donghua as well as Chinese anime. But today I saw one person write a review of Donghua and that inspired me to write one. The first Donghua I watched was the “Soul Land” and today I am going to write about it, and I am sure you are going to enjoy it.

The starts are like that there were a boy called “Tang San” a kid who was a child of a blacksmith who used to spend his days like a drank person. “Tang San” was obedient and good kid, but his father doesn’t show concern on him and there was no story of Tang San’s mother. Tang San was born with full soul power, which was rare in that continent, but his martial soul was of blue silver plant which was known as the most useless one and everyone considered his full soul power as waste for having the useless blue silver plant. Keeping those things aside he had the memory of previous life, and he was very good at making hidden weapons and making poison, but he didn’t reveal it to others. Still, he was recommended to an academy for his full soul power, but his father didn’t want him to be a soul master while he wanted to.

Later he showed his second martial soul (having 2 martial souls were also rare) the second martial soul was the soul of Haotian Hammer, and seeing that his father was shocked and later allowed him to go to academy to be a soul master but with one condition. His father just told him not to reveal the second martial soul unless it was a life-or-death situation. He didn’t know the reason why his father said that but just obeyed it. When he went to the academy, he found a master who was not popular, but the master had vast knowledge even though his cultivation was not high.

Tang San understood about the vast knowledge of the master and requested to be his personal disciple, and which surprised the master also because most of the students want to be disciple of someone who has high level cultivation. The master also told him not to reveal the martial soul of Haotian Hammer in front of anyone. The master’s vast knowledge guided him very well and he provide facilities and knowledge as much as he can to Tang San. With his guidance the Blue silver plant/grass became powerful and for he was very good controlling ability with it which surprised everyone each time. Later he figured joined Sherk Academy which was popular as the name of academy for the monster where he found his team.

His blue simple plant was the blue silver emperor that he got from his mother. His Haotian Hammer was the most powerful martial soul, and his father was one of the most powerful figures in the past who belonged to the Haotian tribe. What happened to Tang San’s mother, and why his father spent his life as a blacksmith. What happened in the past, and what the future holds for him.

You can find power, struggle, teamwork, friendly bonds, love, and revenge in this Donghua. I am not sharing the spoiler here because I can write about it so much that it would be hard to finish in a single post. I rate it 97 out of 100. Some scenes of “Soul Land” Donghua may make you cry, and some scenes may give you goosebumps. You must watch it and I guarantee that you won’t regret it. It was my first Donghua, and it was a masterpiece.

By the way, Soul Land is a Donghua with 264 episodes, and each episode contains approximately more than 15 minutes. Still, I feel it’s something must watch type of thing. Besides, I am confident that you will be amazed by the graphics of the anime also. Just turn a blind eye to see the episode number and start watching it. I guarantee you won’t stop midway. Another thing is the theme song of Soul Land.
