Why human change?

We are humans, and humans change with time. Some changes can be intentional, and some changes can be unintentional and can also be slow, which may be hard to understand. With our growth, who is started change because our growth as well as our maturity makes many things clear to us, and our interests and priorities change gradually. Now the question is: why do people change? I think there can be many reasons for change, and it depends on individuals' experiences. I cannot explain the reason of other's change, but I can share my reasons for why I changed with my growth. I think some of my experiences can help to make it easier to understand better.

In the past, I used to call all of my cousins at intervals of a few weeks. I did that only because I cared about them and I wanted to maintain good connections with all, and I think it's normal for me. In that time, free online calling wasn't available. Instead of it I called everyone that used to cost a good amount of money, and I used to get that amount from my pocket money. After a certain time, I realized that I was the only one who ended up calling them from time to time, and very few used to call me if I didn't contact them. At the beginning, I didn't care too much, but later it became very clear to me, and I just stopped contacting those who didn't contact me. They only used to show concern when I met them face to face, and I also did the same from that time. I didn't because I didn't want to waste my time and money on something that is not worthy. I think I am respecting myself by doing so, and that's the reason for this kind of change.

Till a certain time, I was very confident that in this world I could control my surrounding situation and all of the outcomes would be in my favor as long as I planned well. I used to believe that uncertainty could be eliminated. But at some point, I failed back-to-back on a continuous basis even if I had a so-called perfect plan, and the failure happened due to some silly reasons, and it was not in my control either. So my mindset changed, and I started to think more broadly, considering the uncertainty, and this change came to my life just because of the setbacks.

In the past, there were many friends, even though I was picky when it came to selecting friends and who was important to me. With time, I became distant from many of them, and most of those choices were intentional for me. I left some because they were jealous, and I left some because I didn't feel the magic of friendship while having conversations. I was quite sure that those friendships would end up badly if I wanted to keep those friendship to continue. I just let those friendships die slowly when the connection decreased.

I think that with our growth, we start to understand the situation better, and we also know what is good for us, and we change ourselves according to the situation, considering what is best for us. Sometimes we need to take an intentional approach, and sometimes it happens automatically. It's indeed hard to explain every change, but I think most of those changes are related to life experience and maturity.

I agree with you, our experiences changes our views and direction in life. However, as we advance, those experiences shape us and help us to channel our strength and resources to the right places, persons and things of more concern to us. Thank you for sharing . !ALIVE
