Greetings, dear community! A while back, I bought quite a bit of acrylic yarn in various shades of pink, so I decided the best use for it would be to make small amigurumis in those colors. I initially thought my design options might be limited, but it’s incredible how many different figures I’ve managed to create so far! Today, for instance, I’m sharing a cute jellyfish that’s very easy to make. 😊
Proceso / Process
I worked with thick acrylic yarn and a 3.5mm crochet hook. I began by crocheting the body from the top down, starting with a magic ring containing 6 single crochet stitches in pink. I then worked 6 increases per round for 3 rounds, followed by 5 rounds of 24 single crochet stitches. Working only into the back loops, I crocheted one round of 24 stitches. Since the bottom of the body is flatter rather than round, I worked a round with 8 decreases—resulting in 16 stitches—then stuffed the piece, performed another 8 decreases, and closed the opening using a yarn needle. Before closing it, I inserted the plastic eyes into the sixth round, spacing them 5 stitches apart.
Working into the front loops of the stitches left from the eighth row, I created an edge using fuchsia-colored yarn; to do this, I repeated the following sequence: 1 slip stitch, 3 chains, and skipping one stitch. For the tentacles, I worked into the loops left from the last row; for each tentacle, I made 15 chains and then worked 15 single crochet stitches along those chains. I alternated the colors of the tentacles so that there were 4 fuchsia and 4 red ones.
