I took these photos during a short walk along the rural paths north of town. I really needed to walk and relax, exploring those countryside spots so close to the town streets. Although I must confess I almost turned back as soon as I left the pavement and started walking on the dirt tracks, since it had rained the night before and some lingering puddles and muddy paths made it difficult to continue. But after thinking it over, I liked the light that day and the fact that the fog was slowly moving towards the valley and therefore in my direction. So I decided to ignore the fact that my old sneakers were wet and dirty and keep going, taking photos and enjoying the relative solitude (I only encountered a couple of people walking and a few others on their bikes)... And well, that's more or less the story of that morning in the countryside and these photos that I'm sharing with you today on #Hive.

Estas fotografías las hice durante un recorrido breve por los caminos rurales al norte del pueblo. En realidad, necesitaba caminar y relajarme recorriendo esos lugares campestres cercanos a las calles del pueblo. Aunque debo confesar que estuve a punto de retroceder apenas dejar atrás el pavimiento y comenzar andar por los caminos de tierra, pues había llovido la noche anterior y algunas charcas remanentes y pasos cubiertos de barro, hacían difícil seguir adelante. Pero después de pensarlo bien; me gustó el tipo de luz que había ese día y el hecho de que la niebla avanzaba lentamente hacia el valle y por ende en mi dirección. Así que decidí obviar el hecho de que mis viejos tennis estuvieran mojados y sucios y seguir adelante haciendo fotos, disfrutando de la relativa soledad (me encontré apenas con un par de personas caminando y otras tantas en sus bicicletas)... Y bien, esa es más o menos la historia acerca de esa mañana en el campo y estas fotos que comparto con ustedes hoy en #Hive...

By the way, as you can see in these photos, we're in the middle of the rainy season, and the greens of the trees and grasslands are intense. Personally, I prefer the dry season for taking photos here, as there's more visual drama during those months. But I have to admit that this time I loved seeing so much green everywhere and being able to explore this particular color scheme at will...

Por cierto, tal como pueden ver en estas fotos, estamos en plena temporada lluviosa y los verdes de los árboles y pastizales son intensos. En lo particular, prefiero la época de sequía para hacer fotos aquí, pues hay más drama visual en esos meses. Pero tengo que reconocer que esta vez eme encantó mirar tanto color verde por todas parte y poder explotar este cromatismo particular a placer...
