A lot of people are seriously neglecting health education

I talked about health a lot yesterday, and apparently "health" awareness is mostly left for doctors to figure it out.

A lot of people also forget that leaving your health solely for doctors to help you "figure it out" is basically just short changing your life. You'll be lucky if your doctor cares about you, and most times, you'll hardly get a doctor that care.

The excuse is always that the doctors are overworked or cannot remember the faces of all their patients. There are also excuses for nonchalant doctors out there, especially for those ones who dismiss the symptoms or concerns of their patients.

I've seen a lot of doctors in my life and over 90% of them only care about your consultation fee, the money you'll pay, how they can quickly dismiss your symptoms or how easily tired they get when you keep complaining of symptoms or worry so much.

Sometimes back, I used to think of a problem on my home country, but I've belonged to Reddit groups where people complain about doctors that don't care about their health, except their situation advances.

I've seen unique cases where someone said their liver or kidney problems were ignored by their doctor until their cases advanced, and this is honestly why you cannot complete leave your health education, research and follow up to a medical personnel.

They're mostly likely not going to have enough time for you even if you're paying outrageous fees for their their services. Health education is very important and the awareness of little things that people can do to make a difference is always important.

Be responsible

Simply studying simple symptoms or just checking them out can make a huge difference and that's what a lot of people do not know. For example, habits like smoking is known to cause a lot of health issues, but most people who do it don't even take time to check the health issues it can cause.

While I understand that smoking is an addiction that's bigger, but I feel that simply choosing between staying alive and being dead is one of the biggest motivations to quit smoking, and most times choosing to be health conscious is how people can achieve this.

But, I honestly understand that it can be very difficult to get educated.

Personal research is one of the most difficult things, especially since a lot of people do not like reading, but honestly since I started reading and studying for myself, this is when I began to understand that no one on earth can really love you like yourself, and even if you pay a lot of money to your doctors or specialists...

80% of them don't care about you being healthy, they care about you being on the mend, not being completely sick but also not healthy enough that you wouldn't need them anymore.

Evergreen professionals

In reality people will always need doctors, but if modern medical practice is tailored enough to help people recover completely, I don't think the world will complain that a doctor has a lot of people to attend to, so they can't invest enough effort or emotion in one single person.

It's the same with the pharmaceutical companies we have. Hospitals are still going to make enough money when people recover completely or heal, but the idea of keeping people on subscription based medication and care is absolute greed. Having quality care is something, being unable to pay for it, is another.

Cost/time of care

I've recently heard that care in America is very expensive compared to Europe, where it's relatively cheap, but the difference is that in Europe even if the medical care is dirt cheap, they say you still need to wait a very long time to get care.

So it's almost the same thing. It's either you make money or time compromise, and whatever compromise you're making is the the same, because that access is always not fully given when you need it because of time or money constraints.

At the end of the day, no one will love you like you love yourself and that's why individuals needs to pay more attention to their health and begin to help themselves especially in a system where a doctor only wants to get rid of you.

The moment you enter their office, they just want you to quickly leave, and this inability to spend time with them so they can educate you is why a lot of people is where they are today. I've spent time with my doctor in the past, telling her stuff I know about my situation and how to remedy it, and how she is so surprised that I know so much.

Doctors will never have enough time, because the system is built to extract and not just for 100% care. You get care if you pay, this is true, but you're still not going to get the right education you need, except you have an exceptional doctor who is empathetic.

Let me tell you, if you're aiming to find that doctor, you'll probably not find one, why?

Because they're the 0.1% of the population and most times a lot of people are already in their care because of their empathy, compassion and care. This is where it now falls back to you taking your health education seriously and giving yourself higher chances of survival if anything happens.
