I was talking to someone a few days back, she check my social accounts and saw I hadn't been active in over 3 years, she panicked, and for someone who was always active and suddenly stopped being active for 3 years, she thought I was probably no longer alive or something.
Then she somehow found my number and he texted me on telegram, and I replied minutes later.
Somehow, telegram is for serious conversations, I use it for transactions, business or talk, and it's just a messaging app for me.
In 3 years, she was mostly the same person, flirty, talkative and likes occasional hookups and fun, and me on the other hand, no longer "fun to chat" not as optimistic, not hilarious or witty with jokes as I used to be, and cannot hold long conversation like I used to, without getting distracted by other overlapping thoughts.
Death without dying
So, that part of me that they know was actually no longer existing, but I tried as much as possible to keep up appearances, pretend like it was fine, just to keep things going.
She didn't know my story, and I explained, but it still won't make a lot of sense because someone when we're not at the center of a story, or we aren't the protagonist at the center of an event, then we're just spectators. It's crazy how events, life and circumstances can change people.
Humans are the most adaptable species on planet earth, We're transformative in nature, and this isn't something that happens subconsciously or takes place in our mind, it's something that happens in real life.
The development that's unfolding
Just like a baby becomes a toddler, a toddler a teenager who then becomes an adult, the human transformational process is overlapping in ways we often don't take cognisance of.
It's crazy when you document the journey of a baby for example, watching them grow right until they say their first "gibberish", if we actually document the psychological process of the transformation that happens in the mind then it'll definitely blow us away.
The transformation in the mind is responsible to many changes we saw in a human being. And this transformation is casual.
People don't go through mental transformation without experiences in life, and these experiences are what actually determine whether these transformations are going to be good or bad. It's like watching an actor in a movie become good or bad, different from the initial character that the audience perceived it.
It be that a character goes from being loving and caring to being nonchalant, simply because they lost their child or they're in an era where they eat human beings to stay alive.
People in real-time are going through mental transformation and it's it even just a biological thing, it's a process that looks fascinating yet, disturbing and worrying, but then this is the beautiful of the human physiology and psychology. Going from being an optimist to being a pessimist simply takes several events of losses, jinxes and DÉJÀ VU.
That transformational process
It only takes a series of horrible events to make a witty person very boring with visible lack of confidence.
This is why it's difficult for people to actually show off their bald head if they have cancer, or other ailments that just transform them, including make them lose weight. While this is actually more of a biological process, we tend to mostly forget that every development and transformation we experience passes through our mental filters.
This means that no matter the change or transformation we go through, they affect the mind either negatively or positively. The mind is the deciding factor, and if it were not there or as powerful as it is, then the development of humana as a race will no more be like these of a goat or a deer in the jungle.
It's because of the capabilities of the mind that we everything in our current reality is possible, and this is life. It's also not just a negative process, a lot of people notice positive transformations that happens to them, and most times it looks like a miracle.
The before & after
The concept of the "BEFORE & AFTER" that are applicable to our daily life is the proof of the development we go through because of diverse life experience, but sometimes we don't understand it enough because we're either not deep thinkers or not good observers of the reality that's gently unfolding before us.
Life is mysterious in ways that we might not even understand, and even the people in 100 years time may not understand it too. The technology behind human creation (GOD) is still far too fascinating for us to completely comprehend.
Sure, we've been given the capabilities to understand and comprehend it through years of endless research, observation and experience, and this is just another post that advocates for thoughtfulness and mindfulness, because you become aware on a level that you probably don't even know.
