Greetings! Today I'll be doing a short review of this book by Blair Singer
Team Code of Honor: The Secrets of Champions in Business and in Life
I want to start by saying that it wasn't a book I sought out on my own; someone else had it, and I was curious to know their opinion, which is perhaps why I also read it with a rather critical eye.
The main idea revolves around something that seems simple but can be quite difficult in practice: building truly strong teams. It talks about trust, responsibility, leadership, discipline, and, above all, establishing clear rules about how we want to work and relate to the people who make up our team.

Something I found interesting is that it's not limited to the business world. Many of the ideas can be applied to our personal lives and the people around us. The standards we hold for ourselves and how we react when things get tough end up having a much greater influence than we usually think.
Now, to be completely honest, I felt the book could have said the same thing in far fewer pages. It has quite a few stories, examples, and motivational moments that, while they help reinforce the message, ultimately made some ideas feel repetitive to me.
Even so, I'm left with some interesting insights, especially the importance of having clear standards for ourselves and surrounding ourselves with people with whom we can build something, rather than simply sharing a goal. In the end, it's not just about having good intentions, but about turning them into actions.
I wouldn't say it's a book that changed my perspective on "business," but it did leave me thinking about something broader: what kind of person am I being within the teams I'm part of, and what kind of people am I allowing into my life?
