Anyways, I'm here to share a Fanart I made for this month. The Fanart that I drew is Mahiru Kozuki or her artist name Yoru from Jellyfish can't swim in the night Anime. This is an Anime Original, meaning it is not based on any source material (manga or novel).
I watched this anime when it aired two years ago because I got curious about the title and after watching the first episode it got me hooked. It has a very nice vibe, vibrant scenes, and a heartwarming story. If you are curious if a jellyfish can't swim in the night, well they still swim at night but less movement or activity.
This anime inspired me and renewed my passion for creating art after taking a break for a year. Especially Mahiru or Yoru, the illustrator of the group who stopped creating art after her "friends" made fun of her mural art. She also experienced having self-doubt about her Art not being good enough and comparing herself to other artist which is very relatable cause at some point in my art journey, I felt the same way.
She later on found a Light or Support that brought back her passion and clear her self-doubts and be a Light of her own. This inspired me to do the same, support as much as I can to fellow my artists and friends.
My takeaway from this anime is that if it's something you love and passionate about, even if others may find it weird, you should fight for it, give your absolute best, believe in yourself, and be proud of it.
P R O C E S S
Before finishing this piece, I made some final adjustments on the hair and adding some details on her eyes. I added some decoration on the jellyfish with a star and smaller jellyfish. And I didn't liked the way I painted the jellyfish so I re-painted it again, and this time I made it more colorful and it is more clear that it's a jellyfish.
