Sometimes, especially after a challenging day, I feel that all I need is an easy to watch movie.
And this is exactly what this movie s about, a light romcom, old school movie that is something to actually watch and relax, and perhaps even smile at some points!

The stars of this romantic movie are: Owen Wilson, Kate Hudson, Matt Dillon, and guest-starring Michael Douglas. With a cast like that, you feel right from the start that it will be fun!
Story line: A best man stays on as a houseguest with the newlyweds, much to the couple's annoyance.
Carl and Molly have just been married, madly in love and ready to enjoy their life together. Everything seems to be normal until Carl's best friend, Dupree, finds himself unemployed and needs somewhere to stay.
How else would the fun story begin, if Carl would not be a good friend and invite him to their house (temporarily)?

Dupree, Owen Wilson, is one of those really fun to hang around characters. Friendly, carefree, charming, but also the kind of person that can drive other people absolutely crazy!
We will witness a series of misunderstandings, strange and maybe funny situations, mostly really challenging adventures! Can they put up with all those?
Dupres is the kind of friend we all wish to have, just to tell about his adventures!
I wouldn't say that this is a particularly memorable comedy, even though I did have some fun watching it.
There are some funny moments, and a few uncomfortable situations.
Perhaps because the movie is already 20 years old, it feels a little different from many of the more recent American comedies.
Owen Wilson is, as we all expected, Owen Wilson! Kate Hudson and Matt Dillon are a beautiful and matching on-screen couple, while Michael Douglas has a smaller but important role in the whole story.
I got a bit nostalgic watching this movie, it did bring some 2000 vibes watching the atmosphere and characters, with a past style.
Would I recommend it?
Well, this totally depends.
I do not regret the time I spent watching it, but it is not for everyone.
This will not be the comedy to make you laugh out loud non-stop.
I would also not say that this is a very memorable and clever movie, however if you have some free time, and enjoy old-school American romantic comedies, this could be a good choice.
Would I watch it again? I dont think so!
My verdict: Not a must-watch, and not a terrible movie either. If you are looking for a a light, rom com - consider this one!
The rating in imdb is 5.6/10 out of 88K reviews. I think it fits the movie right.
