Happy Wednesday Hivers!
We were supposed to go to the garden around 5 AM today, but it suddenly started raining. So, instead of arriving early, we were delayed a little because we had to wait for the rain to stop.
My mom went ahead of me, and I arrived at the garden at around 6 AM. When I got there, everything looked so fresh and refreshing! The vegetables, and of course, the flowers, all looked so lovely after the rain.
The flower names I'll be mentioning here are based on what we know them as. I'm not sure if they're called the same name in your area.
The flowers we have the most of in our garden are baby's breath, which comes in white and purple, and espira, the yellow one. There are actually different colors of espira, but yellow is the only variety we currently have in our garden.
This time, they’re all blooming at the same time, which adds more color and beauty to our garden. Seeing them all bloom together makes the garden look even more vibrant and lovely.
We also have asters in our garden! This is actually our first time growing this variety of flowers. We came across the seeds at Metro Supermarket, and my mom decided to give them a try.
Honestly, these flowers took quite a while to sprout and grow. It's been around five months since we sowed the seeds, and as you can see, the plants are still quite small, but they've already started blooming! They're so cute, aren't they? It feels rewarding to finally see them bloom after waiting for so long.
We also have roses in our garden, but honestly, I'm not really a fan of this particular variety. It looks quite different from the roses you usually see in bouquets, especially those beautiful, elegant ones used for flower arrangements.
We actually considered removing it from the garden, but then we realized that it still adds color and beauty to the space. So, we decided to keep it after all. Sometimes, even flowers that aren't our favorites can still contribute something beautiful to the garden.
My mom has also started collecting bougainvillea plants. We both used to be uninterested in bougainvilleas, but over time, we've learned to appreciate their beauty. Now that we've seen them in different colors, we've grown to love them even more! Their vibrant colors really add a lovely touch to the garden.
We also have different varieties of anthuriums in our garden, but most of them haven't bloomed yet. For now, only these two are showing off their beautiful flowers.
Hopefully, the others will bloom soon too, adding more beauty and color to our garden
Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!
