A beach trip to Southern Thailand with my family (over 1,000 kilometers away from my home) : Day 2 of the journey back home to Chiang Mai (From Nakhon Sawan to Mueang Chiang Mai District).

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. We are on day two of our journey back north to Chiang Mai, driving over 1,000 kilometers after a wonderful trip to the southern beaches. Yesterday, we traveled more than 400 kilometers from Prachuap Khiri Khan to Nakhon Sawan and stayed overnight at a resort in this province. Today, as soon as we finished breakfast at the resort, we hit the road immediately. Our travel plan to Chiang Mai today is to drive from Nakhon Sawan to Mueang Chiang Mai District (city center of Chiang Mai) and stay there for one night. Tomorrow, we will head back to our home in Fang District, Chiang Mai, which is about 150 kilometers away from the city center. Like always, my wife takes the wheel in the morning. My daughter and granddaughter sit in the front passenger seats, while I take care of our autistic son in the back. In the afternoon, my wife and I will switch places.

We kept making periodic stops at gas stations across different provinces, which had minimarts, cafes, shops, and restaurants. We had a simple lunch of noodles. On our way back home today, our autistic son threw tantrums and hurt himself from time to time.

Finally, we arrived at Mueang Chiang Mai District around 4:00 PM and checked into a resort in San Sai District, which is about 3 kilometers away from Mueang District. After unpacking our luggage and resting in the room for a bit, we took a stroll to soak in the resort's ambiance.

Around 5:00 PM, we went for a walk at Central Festival Chiang Mai. We took our granddaughter to the indoor playground inside the mall, and we had dinner there before heading back to the resort.

We ate at the food court first. Then, we had ice cream at KFC.

Tomorrow, we plan to travel back home to Fang District, which is about 150 kilometers away, after having lunch at the resort. These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Please forgive any errors/mistakes. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗

Traveling a long distance is not easy especially with the extra care your son needs. I hope you all have a safe and comfortable journey back home.

  • Such a long ride but full of memories with family 😇 Take care.
