Homemade stir-fried mixed vegetables with pork meatballs and minced pork in oyster sauce, using fresh ingredients from the home garden.

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. This post is about another homemade and homegrown. It is a simple dish made from a few vegetables from the home garden. Stir-fried mixed vegetables with pork meatballs and minced pork in oyster sauce is a family-friendly dish suitable for both adults and kids. The main vegetables in this dish are freshly picked from the home garden : sponge gourd and cucumber. As for other vegetables in this dish like carrots and straw mushrooms, I haven't been able to plant them myself, even though I've tried two or three times without success. So, we bought carrots and straw mushrooms from the supermarket.

Fresh sponge gourd straight from the home garden. Unfortunately, I missed taking a photo of the fresh cucumbers my wife picked this time.

Do you also call sponge gourd “sikwa” in your place, Sir? Hehe. It tastes really delicious when cooked with misua and sardines. This was one of our favorite dishes when we were kids because sponge gourds were so abundant in our province. The combination of sponge gourd and sardines is really tasty.
