ENGLISH: A very warm greeting to all the wonderful friends of the #HiveGarden community! My name is Reyna Flores, known on this platform as @lcampesina. It is a true pleasure to be back here with all of you, sharing another day of labor and experiences in our family garden. Today I find myself in a somewhat more active and demanding workday than usual. I started very early in the morning cleaning an overgrown patch of land where we planted some beans next door.
ESPAÑOL: ¡Hola, queridos amigos de la maravillosa comunidad de #HiveGarden! Mi nombre es Reyna Flores, conocida en esta plataforma como la usuaria @lcampesina. Es un verdadero gusto estar nuevamente aquí con todos ustedes compartiendo un día más de labor y vivencias en nuestro huerto familiar. Hoy me presento en una jornada un poco más activa y fuerte de lo habitual. Empecé muy temprano en la mañana limpiando un montarral donde tenemos sembrados unos frijoles en la casa vecina de al lado.
ENGLISH: There, we also decided to test how corn cobs would grow, and to our great joy, they turned out very beautiful, strong, and completely full of grains.
ESPAÑOL: Allí también decidimos hacer una prueba para ver cómo se daban las mazorcas de maíz, y para nuestra gran alegría salieron muy hermosas, fuertes y totalmente llenas de granos.
ENGLISH: After finishing up with the beans, I moved on to my main yard to prune the mulberry tree. With machete in hand, I had to climb up very carefully and prune with caution, yet with plenty of energy to keep the tree under control and full of vigor for the upcoming seasons.
ESPAÑOL: Luego de terminar con la limpieza de los frijoles, pasé a mi patio principal para podar la planta de morera (mora de árbol). Machete en mano, me tocó subirme con mucho cuidado y podar con precaución, pero con bastante energía para mantener el árbol controlado y con buen vigor para las próximas temporadas.
ENGLISH: Here we can appreciate a closer look at the work in the yard and how the plants respond to our care and daily dedication.
ESPAÑOL: Aquí podemos apreciar más de cerca las labores en el patio y cómo van respondiendo las plantas a nuestro cuidado y dedicación diaria.
ENGLISH: Each space in the garden tells a story of effort and constancy, keeping everything in order for a better harvest.
ESPAÑOL: Cada espacio del huerto cuenta una historia de esfuerzo y constancia, manteniendo todo en orden para una mejor cosecha.
ENGLISH: Along the way, I couldn't resist taking pictures of the tomato plant I showed you two months ago; it is looking very nice now, loaded with large fruits just waiting to ripen.
ESPAÑOL: En el trayecto no aguanté la tentación de tomarle fotos a la mata de tomate que les presenté hace dos meses; ya está muy bonita, cargada de frutos grandes que solo están a la espera de madurar.
ENGLISH: The tomatoes continue to develop healthy and strong under the sun, showing that organic care truly yields wonderful results.
ESPAÑOL: Los tomates continúan desarrollándose sanos y fuertes bajo el sol, demostrando que el cuidado orgánico realmente da resultados maravillosos.
ENGLISH: As if that weren't enough, the pumpkin plant is starting to bloom its beautiful yellow flowers once again.
ESPAÑOL: Por si fuera poco, la auyama comienza de nuevo a regalar sus hermosas flores amarillas.
ENGLISH: And I also came across a very particular medicinal plant known locally as "yuquilla", whose seed pods burst and pop open when they get wet.
ESPAÑOL: Y también me conseguí con una planta medicinal muy particular llamada yuquilla, cuyas vainas revientan y saltan cuando se mojan.
ENGLISH: Working the land requires quite a bit of strength and effort, but seeing how nature responds fills the heart with joy. A big hug to everyone!
ESPAÑOL: Trabajar la tierra exige bastante fuerza y esfuerzo, pero ver cómo nos responde la naturaleza llena el corazón de alegría. ¡Un gran abrazo para todos!
