Cooking Blog: Buko Panda Jelly

Hello, today I woke up early because my mom asked me to cook food to treat her teachers at school. She asked me to cook baked mac, fried chicken, and garlic-butter shrimp, and this one buko pandan jelly LOL. But I did not document those things because I was too busy doing everything LOL. I kinda feel stressed because I'm supposed to wake up an hour earlier than the time I woke up.

The only process I document is when I am making jelly buko panda, which I was the one requested to make, but the funny thing is that she was supposed to bring it to school, but I already made it the day after, and they tasted it and decided not to take it and eat it at home LOL. And I am so happy about that because I love buko panda jelly, especially with corn kernels in it.

Ingredients I Used:

  • 2 Buko Panda Jelly Powder
  • 2 litre water
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 all purpose cream
  • 545g Condensed Milk
  • Kernel Corn In Can
  • Buko Pandan Extract

Let's Cook!

In a pot, I added 2 litres of water and made sure it was room temperature, not hot or warm, and then I added the buko panda jelly powder. Mix everything until well combined.

I added 1/4 cup of white sugar.

Mix everything and then turn on the heat in high.

When it starts boiling, I am going to pour it into a steel tray. Let it cool off until solid.

When everything is solid, I am going to scrape the jelly using this coconut scraper. You can just cut it into cubes, but I prefer this one.

Add two all-purpose creams.

Mix everything until well combined.

Add condensed milk I added about 535 grams all of the it. Mix everything.

Add the corn kernels. I got the wrong one, but this one works too LOL.

I added buko pandan essence. I think I just used all the one left in it, and I guess it is about a teaspoon of it.

Mix everything until all the ingredients are well combined. Transfer it to a container and put it in the refrigerator for a few hours.

Here is the close-up look.

Happy eating! :D

Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D Please take care of your mental health as well. I hope you are okay today :))

Does it turn out very sweet with the condensed milk, or is the balance good? What other Filipino dessert would you recommend to someone trying buko pandan? It’s great that you scrape the jelly with the coconut scraper instead of cutting it into cubes; it gives it a different texture.
