Hello, how are you? Yesterday was my mom's birthday, so I was so busy, and then we had visitors from our other family and just enjoyed the day with us. We ate a lot yesterday, especially meat.
So we are going on a vegetable cleanse LOL. So today I am going to cook a veggie dish: ginisang kalabasa and sitaw. I was so excited to cook it tonight,, and I was planning to add a sour kick, but I remembered they used all the sinigang mix yesterday, so I just cooked it as is hehe.
Ingredients I Used:
Ingredients I Used:
- 1 tbsp. cooking oil
- pork meat
- garlic
- red onion
- ginger
- tomatoes
- 2 tbsp. bagoong
- 1 cup water
- chicken broth cube
- sitaw
- kalabasa
- green chilis
Let's Cook!
Let's Cook!
In a pot, I added about a tablespoon of cooking oil and then I added the meat next and then cook it until the texture of the meat turned crispy.
Add the aromatics like garlic, red onion and ginger and satuee it until the aroma comes out.
Add the tomatoes next and then cook them until the texture changes into a mush, and that way, it will give color and taste to the sauce of the dish.
Add bagoong. I added about two tablespoons of it and let it seep into the meat and tomatoes, and then, after that, I added a cup of water.
When it starts boiling, I am going to add the chicken broth cube.
In about a minute, it is going to start boiling.
I added the sitaw first.
Then the kalabasa next, and then I added green chilis.
Cook it for about 5-8 minutes over medium to high heat or until the sitaw and kalabasa are tender.
Serve hot and plated.
Happy eating! :D
