Seriously, I don't think I have enough pictures in my gallery that can actually tell my life story. I'm not really a picture person. I don't take pictures the way some people do, where almost every moment has to be captured. Most of the time, I just enjoy the moment and move on.
But going through my gallery recently, I realized that I actually have some pictures. I just don't know if they are enough to tell my story or if someone scrolling through them would understand anything about me.
There are random pictures of places I've been, food I've eaten, screenshots of things I found interesting, and a few selfies here and there. Some pictures were taken because I genuinely liked what I saw, while others were probably taken for a reason I can't even remember anymore.
I also have pictures of people who are important to me. Not as many as I probably should have, but enough to bring back certain memories. Sometimes I look at an old picture and immediately remember where I was, what was happening that day, or how I felt at that particular moment. That is something I like about pictures. Even when the picture itself isn't special, the memory attached to it can be.
If someone went through my gallery, they might also notice that I take pictures of random things. Maybe a beautiful sky, a place I visited, something funny, or something that caught my attention for no particular reason. I guess those little things say something about me too. I may not be someone who takes pictures all the time, but when something really catches my attention, I sometimes want to keep a little reminder of it.
And then there are the screenshots.
My gallery probably has more screenshots than actual photographs. Some are things I wanted to remember, some are conversations, some are things I found funny, and some I honestly have no idea why I saved them. Looking at them now, they probably tell a different part of my story, the things I was interested in, the things that made me laugh, and even the things that were important to me at a particular time.
I think that is the funny thing about a camera roll. You don't necessarily have to be a person who takes hundreds of pictures for your gallery to tell something about you. Sometimes, it's the few pictures you chose to take that say the most.
My camera roll may not be a complete story of my life. It probably has plenty of missing chapters. But maybe that is okay. My life isn't made up of pictures anyway. There are so many moments I experienced that I never photographed, and honestly, some of my best memories don't have a picture attached to them.
So if my camera roll could tell my life story, it might not tell the whole story. But it would probably give someone a few little pieces of it, the places I've been, the people I care about, the random things that caught my attention, and some moments I wanted to hold onto.
Maybe that is enough.
Thanks for checking on my blog and have a wonderful day
