I'm going to share with you the story of first indian Netflix series' which was hit and after that you see a lot of Indian Netflix series'. It was a time when I was usually watched indian movie's mostly as you can say i only watched indian movie's sometimes because I was more on book back then.
The series' is actually book base as Sacred games is a novel written by Vikram Chandra, the book is so lengthy so they took it for television series'. I was ready to watch the series' since i follow it's trailer as trailer was dark and mysterious and the theme was thriller and i was excited to watch this because it's india first television Netflix series'. And I watched after a few day's it was released.
Characters!!!
Sertaj singh character was played by Saif Ali Khan who was senior police officer which did all the investigation of the crime and help to solve the mystery of the story.
Ganesh Gaitando is also the main character of the series and the role Played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui but he's totally different from the Sartaj singh as you can say the opposite roles but no he's not the villan of the story. His character show us that he's not like that but something made him like that.
Story!!!
So, the story start with the mystery that Ganesh Gaitando who is a gangster and have a record in police calls the senior officer Sartaj singh that you've only 25 day's to save the Mumbai, now police doesn't know what will happen to Mumbai after 25 day's, they started to investigate and check the records of Ganesh Gaitando that why he said this , what is his past and try to predict what he'll do next??
It was a simple warning to save Mumbai but this warning become the story more mysterious. Especially with those flashbacks of Ganesh Gaitando back life which make it more dark and mysterious. On one side police was worry to save the city while on the other side Ganesh Gaitando continually live his life like a gangster.
I like it because they didn't start to open all the mysteries in just one episode but they open all the mysteries slowly which keeps inspiring to watch the season and it's a good way to engage the viewers on the screen. There's a connection between past and present too which sometimes make you confused too because in those flashbacks we see the criminal side of the Ganesh Gaitando but today in present he show's like a powerful gangster who has influence and control and his own life is like a mystery.
Ending!!!
In season 1 they didn't show us a complete ending because the story will end in second season but second season was more slow then first and i like the mostly first season. Many parts leave incomplete to complete in next and final season.
Final thoughts!!!
Overall the vision, cinematography and music was good also the dark atmosphere make it more mysterious but the dialogues were too much adult because Ganesh Gaitando shows as a gangster and his dialogue were mostly rough and sometimes deep although the style he was speaking was good. I enjoyed the overall series' and still sometimes i remember that this was a good Indian series to watch.
