¡Hola queridos usuarios! De nuevo quiero dejar este gran día compartido con mi padre. Mi padre superó momentos de gran tensión debido a algunas realidades de salud que lo aquejaron, estuvimos escalando algunos peldaños engorrosos, ya sabemos como está esto de enfermarse en nuestro país.
Desde temprano estuve organizando todo para ir al hogar de mi padre, siempre la paso muy bien con mis hermanos, es un grato momento al escuchar los mismos cuentos de mi padre, escuchar sus risas, de verdad siempre es motivador compartir en familia. Mi hija me llevó junto con mis nietos y yerno, al llegar estaba mi padre sentado en su mecedora, nos recibió con mucha alegría.
Comenzaron a llegar mis hermanos con sus esposas e hijos, llegó la hora de compartir un rico pasticho, con tajadas, ensalada y refresco, algunos querían jugo y otros cervezas. Entre chistes, recuerdos, muchas anécdotas pasamos el rato. He estado quebrantada de salud, pero hasta eso uno trata de hacerlo a un lado cuando se trata de ver a nuestros queridos familiares, esta es una fecha muy esperada, no me quería perder estos momentos tan significativos.
Estar con mi padre me hace sentir querida, él es bien especial conmigo, me encanta escuchar las historias de mi infancia, debemos atesorar estos momentos. Llegó el momento de cantar cumpleaños, fue un cumpleaños rápido, aquí en Venezuela tenemos el cumpleaños muy lago, el cumpleaños largo y el cumpleaños corto, pues, cantamos el cumpleaños corto. Entre risas y bellas palabras cada uno de nosotros fue recogiendo sus cosas, también estamos a la espera del cumpleaños número 84 de mi padre. Gracias Dios por toda tu misericordia y compasión.
Soy la hija mayor, se pueden imaginar yo con 61 años poder compartir todavía con mi padre, eso es una gran bendición.

I spent the early part of the day getting everything ready to visit my father's home. I always have a great time with my siblings; it is such a pleasure to hear my father’s familiar stories and laughter—sharing time with family is truly uplifting. My daughter drove me over, along with my grandchildren and son-in-law; when we arrived, my father was sitting in his rocking chair and welcomed us with great joy.
My siblings began to arrive with their spouses and children, and soon it was time to enjoy a delicious pasticcio (lasagna) served with fried plantain slices, salad, and soft drinks—though some preferred juice while others opted for beer. We spent the time sharing jokes, memories, and plenty of anecdotes. My own health hasn't been great, but you try to put that aside when it comes to seeing beloved family members; this is a highly anticipated occasion, and I didn't want to miss out on such meaningful moments.
Being with my father makes me feel loved; he is so special to me, and I love hearing stories about my childhood—we really must cherish these moments. Then came the time to sing "Happy Birthday." It was a quick celebration; here in Venezuela, we distinguish between a "long" birthday and a "short" one, and we opted for the short version. Amidst laughter and lovely words, we each gathered our things; we are also looking forward to my father’s 84th birthday. Thank You, God, for all Your mercy and compassion.
I am the eldest daughter; just imagine—at 61 years old, I am still able to share time with my father. That is a great blessing.
