En esta oportunidad fuimos a un lugar que rescataron, lo modernizaron, la zona era algo peligrosa, pero ahora es algo maravilloso, muchas familias de benefician de este parque de diversión enorme, todas las atracciones son completamente gratis. Este hermoso parque se llama: "Draculandia".

I’ve loved this kind of thing since I was a child; I’ve always been a bit of a loner. I was raised in a small family, constantly surrounded by adults—I do have siblings, but they lived in another state. This time, we visited a place that had been rescued and modernized; the area used to be somewhat dangerous, but now it is truly wonderful. Many families benefit from this huge amusement park, and all the attractions are completely free. This beautiful park is called "Draculandia."
Ese día me levanté más temprano de lo habitual, como los niños que se le hace cuesta arriba para ir a la escuela, pero al saber que se van de paseo se levantan temprano. A las 10 de la mañana salía el autobús que nos llevaría al parque. Llegamos puntuales, ese día pude ir con mis nietos, estaban felices, salían de un espacio y entraban en el otro en un abrir y cerrar de ojos ya querían comer de todo.
Todo comenzó con las directrices de rigor, no alejarse del grupo, tratar de estar atentos con los niños, no acercarse mucho a los animales, ya que también hay una granja de contacto, la cual al visitar observe que algunos animales ya no estaban. That day, I got up earlier than usual—much like children who usually struggle to get ready for school but wake up early when they know they’re going on a field trip. The bus taking us to the park was scheduled to leave at 10:00 a.m. We arrived right on time; I was able to go with my grandchildren that day, and they were overjoyed. They darted from one area to the next in the blink of an eye, eager to try a bit of everything.
It all began with the standard instructions: stay with the group, keep a close eye on the children, and don't get too close to the animals—especially since there is a petting zoo. Upon visiting it, however, I noticed that some of the animals were missing. We continued our tour and arrived at the "Minions" area—a space filled with yellow and blue, featuring those big eyes, sparse hair, and their charming little outfits.

After visiting the castle belonging to these delightful characters, we headed toward "Shrek's" castle—you remember that movie, his beautiful love Fiona, and Donkey, right? But before that, I couldn't pass up an offer of three popsicles for 900 bolívares (about 1.50 dollars). True, it was quite early, but we had a long journey ahead of us. My grandchildren were happy; I should mention that for the second round, we bought three popsicles at that price, whereas for the first round, we bought only chocolate ones—they were a bit more expensive, but absolutely delicious. Admission to the place was just 5 euros; in my country, foreign currencies handle everything—they just convert the amount to bolívares and that’s it—but being there was worth it, and seeing my grandchildren’s joy made everything perfect. Le recuerdo amigo lector que solo pagué el traslado ida y vuelta al lugar, también les advierto que con 10$ se puede pasar un día maravilloso con dos niños, con una dama o un caballero que no pida mucho. Ese lugar nos acobijó por ocho horas, no hubo espacio para el aburrimiento, creo que yo estaba más emocionada que mis nietos, se pueden imaginar llegar a la casa de "Peppa pig" y su familia.

I should remind you, dear reader, that I only paid for the round-trip transportation to the location; I also want to point out that with just $10, you can have a wonderful day out with two children, or with a lady or gentleman who isn't too demanding. That place kept us entertained for eight hours—there was no room for boredom. I think I was even more excited than my grandchildren; just imagine arriving at the home of Peppa Pig and her family.
En este lugar los niños se recrear dibujando, coloreando, también hay carritos, trencitos, y al lado te vas a conseguir con la familia "Simpson". Esta familia es símbolo de una familia que no le hace caso a nada hablan hasta por los codos, pero a la hora de sentarte con ellos se pasa muy bien.
Here, children can have fun drawing and coloring; there are also toy cars and trains, and right next to them, you’ll find the Simpson family. They represent the kind of family that pays no heed to anything and talks non-stop, yet sitting down with them is a great time.

This turned into a process of moving in and out of the intimate settings of many familiar spaces, yet with new attractions. We headed over to the area next to the Simpsons' house—to our large petting zoo, which had since been somewhat downsized.
Estoy consiente que este lugar es algo mágico, entre helados, trencitos, chucherías, lagos, botes, piratas fue pasando la tarde. Quería montarme en los botes, pasear por el lago, pero la cola era algo larga, la espera se veía en la cara de los adultos que se quedaban del lado de los avestruz, preferimos ir a ver al pueblo de los piratas, unos esqueletos graciosos, pensar que por dentro somos así. I realize this place is somewhat magical; the afternoon slipped by amidst ice cream, little trains, snacks, lakes, boats, and pirates. I wanted to get on the boats and go for a ride on the lake, but the line was rather long—the wait was written on the faces of the adults standing over by the ostriches—so we decided to visit the pirate village instead. There were some amusing skeletons there; it’s funny to think that’s what we look like on the inside. Some people look that way on the outside, too—skeletal.

The transport service that brought us there said they would pick us up at 5:00 PM; I have to admit, I was on the verge of telling them our family would be coming for us instead. We continued wandering through other areas until we reached the Stone Age; surrounded by cavemen, dinosaurs, and wildflowers, we were entertained for quite a while—and kept right on enjoying ourselves while eating ice cream by the lakeshore.

We had a wonderful day; the sun was blazing and we were going full steam ahead without feeling any fatigue. We still had plenty left to do—visiting Barbie’s house, Harry Potter’s castle, the circus, and the "Wednesday" (Merlina) haunted house, as well as having fun in the "Mario Bros" maze. We simply ran out of time to enjoy the hot dog combo for just 1,000 bolivars ($1.50). That will have to wait for our next visit to this spectacular amusement park.
