After Jolius Blast, the next Arena Vanguard I upgraded to level two is Buns the Unseen thanks to @bunsbagsandcaps and @spl-contests. In today's post, I'll discuss why he's so much better at level two and show some battles where I used him effectively.
Buns the Unseen at Level Two
Buns the Unseen at level two gains the Void Armor ability. This means that he can utilize his thick armor not only against physical attacks but also against magic as well. This is a crucial ability since this will make him a good tank to play against magic teams which is the meta in the Frontier.
Featured Battles
Battle 1 - Against Magic a Team
I immediately tested Buns as a tank in against a magic team. I noticed that Port Guardian is his natural enemy due to its Corrosive Ward ability that damages Buns's armor each time he attacks. The enemy also had Buns at level one and here you can see what level two does. My Buns was able to use his armor to absorb some magic damage while the enemy's did not. Eventually, my team was victorious in this battle.
Battle 2 - Anemic
In this battle, the max health of all units is only four. It becomes crucial that a unit is protected by armor to prevent damage from decreasing health. Here Buns's eight armor served him well against physical and magic attacks that gave my team the advantage.
Battle 3 - Up Close & Personal
This battle only had melee units. Again Buns's armor proved to be crucial defense against other melee attackers. I also used another Arena Vanguard in this battle. King Erminaz Twincleaver is a strong melee unit. Having two Arena Vanguards in my team gave me the win in this battle.
