Hello, community! It’s a new week to search through the shadows and pick the best one to share here. I went to the home of my friends Cris and Will—the ones who put up our little zinc and bamboo house—because I was going to collect the $100 I’ve saved up at a rate of $20 a week (I can't save any more than that) to start building with bricks.
I actually decided to use those first savings to fix up my dad's grave, and to dedicate all subsequent savings to the little house. Will—a mason, plumber, and electrician—is going to handle the work. I’ve already bought the materials; now I’m just getting the rest of the money together to pay for the truck that will take us and the materials to the cemetery.
It was my first time inside Cris and Will's house, and that’s where I captured the shadows I’m sharing here—shadows cast by an ornament hanging on their wall. It’s a ship... a merchant vessel or a buccaneer ship, a pirate ship or a privateer’s craft—but it’s magical because it’s a "flying" ship. 😉
