Good afternoon, my dearest #Hive readers—happy Tuesday to everyone! I hope you’re having a great week. This is your friend Manuel here, very excited to share a new digital illustration with you that I just finished a little while ago. This time, I wanted to create a depiction of one of the creatures from the game by my dear friends in the #Holozing community, and I decided to go with the feline-type creatures, which I haven’t drawn in a long time. In this case, I chose the little Miu base cat—a small, round, and fluffy creature, perfect for Healers to start capturing without any trouble. I hope you really like this idea, and here I’ll share a bit of the process so you can appreciate it better!
Muy buenas tardes mis queridísimos lectores y lectoras de #Hive, feliz martes para todos, espero que estén teniendo una excelente semana. Por aquí los saluda su amigo Manuel, muy emocionado de compartirles una nueva ilustración digital que terminé hace un rato. Esta vez quise realizar una representación sobre una de las criaturas del juego de mis queridos amigos de la comunidad de #Holozing, y me decanté por las criaturas de tipo felino, las cuales hace mucho que no realizaba en un dibujo. En este caso elegí al pequeño gato base Miu, una criatura pequeña, redonda y felpuda, perfecta para que los Sanadores inicien capturándola sin problemas. ¡Espero que les guste mucho esta idea y aquí les compartiré un poco del proceso para que lo aprecien mejor!
PROCESS / PROCESO
For the concept and character design, I chose an adorable close-up pose of Miu peeking curiously over a thick tree branch. I drew him featuring a rounded body with soft gray fur, large captivating green eyes with slit pupils, a tiny pink nose, cute little paws clinging to the bark, and soft pink shading inside his ears.
Para el concepto y diseño del personaje, elegí una pose de plano cercano muy tierna de Miu asomándose con curiosidad sobre la rama de un árbol. Lo dibujé luciendo un cuerpo redondeado con pelaje gris suave, grandes ojos verdes cautivadores con pupilas felinas, una pequeña nariz rosada, sus tiernas patitas sujetándose a la madera y sombras rosadas suaves en el interior de sus orejas.
For the details and rendering, I worked carefully on smoothing his fur gradients, facial volume, and the wood texture of the branch using soft airbrush techniques. I detailed the vibrant reflection inside his green eyes, rendered the plush, soft texture of his gray coat, and polished the highlights along the organic curves of the branch to give the scene a three-dimensional depth.
Para los detalles y el renderizado, trabajé cuidadosamente en suavizar los degradados de su pelaje, el volumen facial y la textura de la madera mediante la técnica de aerógrafo. Detallé los reflejos brillantes dentro de sus ojos verdes, rendericé la textura suave y acolchada de su manto gris y pulí las luces a lo largo de las curvas orgánicas de la rama para otorgarle una profundidad tridimensional a la escena.
For the magical elements, lighting, and environment, I set the scene outdoors in a sunny meadow near a lake. A bright overhead sun glows at the top of the composition, casting a strong golden rim light over Miu's silhouette and head, creating a beautiful contrast against the green grass and the deep blue water in the background.
Para los elementos mágicos, la iluminación y la ambientación, ubiqué la escena al aire libre en una pradera soleada cerca de un lago. Un sol radiante resplandece en la parte superior de la composición, proyectando un marcado contraluz dorado sobre la cabeza y silueta de Miu, logrando un contraste hermoso con la hierba verde y el agua azul profundo del fondo.
