Hoy mi país se encuentra en un dolor absoluto ante la tragedia natural ocurrida el pasado 24 de junio del 2026. Muchas personas han muerto, otras están heridas y quedaron sin hogar en el terremoto.
Ante esta adversidad que atraviesa el pueblo venezolano se puede ser racional de la siguiente manera: solidarizándose con las personas afectadas sin emitir juicios en contra de ellos, dando información real, evitando colocar música a alto volumen en las casas, carros, centros comerciales y demás lugares.
Se pospone cualquier actividad privada y pública, sea de entretenimiento, cultural, política, deportiva, religiosa y académica. Ante lo expresado, puedo decir que ser racional es actuar con lógica, sin apresurarse a tomar decisiones que afecten al prójimo.
La mejor opción por ahora es ayudando, siendo empático y solidario, haciendo cadenas de oración por los niños, adolescentes, adultos, ancianos y mascotas afectadas por esta gran tragedia. Ya habrá tiempo para realizar lo que se encuentra en pausa, por lo pronto hay que ser responsable de las acciones para no causar más daño del que hay.

Being rational in the face of pain.
Today, my country is in deep mourning following the natural disaster that struck on June 24, 2026. Many people have lost their lives, while others have been injured or left homeless by the earthquake.
In the face of this adversity confronting the Venezuelan people, one can act rationally by standing in solidarity with those affected, without passing judgment,sharing accurate information, and refraining from playing loud music in homes, vehicles, shopping centers, and other public spaces.
All private and public activities,whether related to entertainment, culture, politics, sports, religion, or academics,are being postponed. Given this situation, acting rationally means behaving logically and avoiding hasty decisions that could negatively impact others.
The best course of action right now is to offer help, show empathy and solidarity, and join in prayer for the children, adolescents, adults, elderly people, and pets affected by this great tragedy. There will be time later to resume the activities currently on hold; for now, we must act responsibly to avoid causing any further harm.
