To be honest with you all, I'm not a fan of games. Honestly, I remember playing a game a couple of weeks ago, and someone saw me; the person was surprised and was like, "What, so you do play games." I felt somehow about it, not as if I didn't play games; I'm not just a fan of it. Like you would rarely see me playing games. I don't know what changed though; while growing up, I loved games a lot, always finding ways to get my hands on my brother's phone so I could play games. I was always in their rooms watching them play while hoping to grow older someday and do all of that too. Now I'm an adult, and it has changed.
Now, let's talk about gaming on hive, I've come across a lot of games on hive, and there are a few I can say I know and have understood how they work, even though I've never engaged in them, but seeing some of them, I know that they are, and I'm sure I would be able to play them anytime I'm ready too, and I say that because some of them are not so different from the actual ones on phones too, the likes of puzzles and all.
But then, I have some I admire to some extent, but I do not know anything about it. Especially the likes of Splinterlands, I admire it so so much; I even found out they've built not just their game on hive but also a thriving community. And honestly, I admire it so much; I see the way people play and post about it, talking of cards, winning, fighting, and all. Maybe one day, I will sit myself down to learn and then to try playing it.
So, now that I'm not here for the game, what's that thing always bringing me back? For me it is the love for writing, the people on here, and that feeling of being a part of something huge. I love writing so much, and that is one of the reasons you will always see me here. I've always talked about how I've left hive for about two years before making my way back. The person who introduced hive to me was the same person who invited me back, and you will wonder why he did that after a few years of me leaving. It is because he still saw me writing, and he felt, "You can do this on hive too."
So, I'm always here not just to always hop on topics but to as well tell/share my story, write about something, share my opinion and a lot more. And if you've followed me for a while, you will find out that I don't always talk about a thing without citing an example, either of myself or things I've witnessed/experienced. Also, being here for the people, I've made quite a few friends on here, and they happen to be very amazing people. Now being a part of something this huge, I love that. I'm always happy to engage and comment on the posts of others while supporting them in my own little way.
I as well love the fact that I'm always learning on here; a lot of posts and write-ups have changed and shifted something in me. And I love that since I'm the type who's open to learning, unlearning, and relearning.
Hive isn't like every other platform; hive is different. Hive gives me this sense of belonging, and I love that, and because of that, you will always find me here. I know I still have a lot to learn on here, a lot, but then, I'm still here, taking it one at a time.
