What a lovely topic this is, talking of if I ever find myself amongst/amidst my childhood friends, classmates and all. Well, for me I'm sure the first few hours will be more of greetings, noise, laughter, happiness, hugs and such. Immediately I saw this topic, what came to mind was an old friend of mine, I'm already imagining how he would look at me with that his big eyes and he would call me the nickname I hate to be called. Sounds funny right, but that's just it. You will find someone calling you your old nickname, this person trying to drag you, and the next trying so much to remember your face and comparing it to what he knew it to be back then.
It's a good thing though, and it's something I would really love to experience, you know getting to meet with the various people you did childhood together with. Like, they're the set of people who knew even those things you can barely remember, they're the ones who can call you a certain nickname you may not even remember being called, they're the ones who can remember their things that happened while you're in school and you might have forgotten details about it or what led to it. You know, I can't just help but imagine the kind of feeling.
To be honest with you, that meeting will be a very lively one, it will be a type of gathering where you feel can happen for a week straight, so y'all cN be able to catch up very well and all, especially if everyone came with an open mind and not someone trying to now act all matured and you get. Yeah. Even if you're not okay with maybe a nickname you're being called, there's a way to address it calmly or you can just let it slide. Even those who do not have very good vibes with everyone back then might find themselves loosening up in that kind of setting.
And like I said earlier, some may want to act all matured and grown up, which is definitely understandable. We all have grown up now, some who are loud then may have now become the quiet type, and the quiet ones can now be the loud ones, it is bond to happen.. change is constant. We will also find amongst ourselves those who are now big, influential and wealthy people while some will still be amongst us who're still trying to find their feet. And that is not bad at all, it is just life. We won't remain the same forever. And those are the kind of conversations we would have, also a good avenue to build connections, and even help each other in any way we could too.
The most important thing for me though would be that opportunity to reconnect with everyone. The opportunity to see each other again, have fun, have discussions, discuss the past, the present and all. And like I said earlier, I wouldn't want such a reunion to end in an hour or even a day, I would love if it could be extended for a week. That reunion will be a great opportunity and avenue to remind us where we started, and what we once shared.
