Our body needs movement at any stage in life. Personally, I believe exercise is good for our overall health, and it’s something I’ve experienced. However, age still determines the kind of exercise one can carry out. For instance, the exercise that people in their 30s can carry out is different from the exercise people who are in their 60s can carry out. Even though exercise is good for all ages, one should always engage in the one they are comfortable with. Even those with physical conditions have some certain exercises they can carry out.
When we were younger, we did play around. We jumped, we ran and so on. In fact, most children are generally active without carrying out a specific exercise. They are just being active. So apparently, I wouldn’t say there should be a structured exercise for children or make exercise mandatory for children the same way it is for adults. However, there’s nothing wrong in encouraging children to engage in sport activities, because it will also help them to develop a healthy lifestyle at an early age. They’ll have the belief and understand that exercise is good.

As I grow older, I see exercise as something important as taking care of our health. I used to see some people with age bracket of 50 and above complaining of joint pain, and when I checked, I noticed that most of them don’t carry out exercise, while the complaint is less for those who are always keeping their body fit through exercise. However, other factors can still contribute to joint pain and stiffness, but I believe exercise can be helpful in one way or the other to stay fit.
I’ve learned and read about exercise from books and online, but what I’m writing is not something I’ve read from books. It’s something I’ve experienced, and experience, they say, is the greatest teacher. There was a time I always engaged myself in exercise religiously. I always felt better and lighter within myself. Then, I always had constant constipation and discomfort, but I noticed that daily exercise helped me feel better. That’s to show that something as simple as moving our body can make a great difference in how we feel.
Do I currently exercise?
Honestly, I don’t really carry out exercise like before, not because I don’t want to, but sometimes life gets busy to create time for something that matters. I’ll wake up, attend to one thing, then another, and before I know it, the day is gone. However, I still try my best to move my body by taking a walk, doing some jogging and little workout, but not always though. I’m hoping to create more time for exercise like I used to do before, because I know how it used to make me feel.
So in all, exercise is good for all ages, while being mindful about the type of exercise we carry out depending on our age bracket as an adult. But for children, I see it as a healthy choice, because most children generally enjoy being active without a structured exercise. Ultimately, exercise is also a way of taking care of ourselves.
