Hello Hivers 💕💘,

Plantain is one of the most commonest plant that you can ever see even in most of the compound or garden here in Nigeria. And this is because it does not take too much energy before you plant your plantain or banana. It take the form of two in one. This means that the replicate themselves. If care is not taken you can take plantain for banana if it has not yet bring out it flower or fruit. So you can easily plant days in your farm and it will take close to 7 months before it starts producing depending on the varieties.

yes there are improve varieties at this point in time but it may be more expensive than the local one you can ever see. it will give you the same produce but more faster than each other. This particular plant is more than 7 months in growth and development and that is why you see it with a very big plantain fruit. Initially we had a lot of destruction on the plantain Farm because there were a lot of rainfall which brought a lot of heavy breeze. This every breeze blew up most of our plantation on the farm but we still have few left. And this was also one of them. As you can see it they plantain has reached it maturity stage. The harvest must be done or else there are maybe one or two predators getting to consume the plantain fruit itself. I took some pictures of the plants and also after the harvest.

  • on the planting tree it is easier said than done in the sense that when you see it big this way you will be very inspired to harvest it but they are a lot of things to be consider before you can absolutely see or attain this on your farm.

the plantain surrounding must be kept extremely clean and healthy such that even when there is bring for or lack of rainfall if you be able to access the stem of the plantain tree. which means that you must dedicate a lot of time to see that your plantain Farm is looking clean and healthy from different types of weed.

  • To attend this week I mean the planting fruit in the itself, it must spend more than 2 months on the tree actively. You will always monitor the plantain fruit on the tree so that even if there is any close range of predators issue be able to see it and divert it attention from your farm produce.

  • After cutting the plantain fruit itself, you should also not this that you must be able to clean up the tree after cutting it so that it will also give away for other plantain to survive. When you harvest one there are some other smaller ones coming up and if observant enough you may not see that coming and you will lose a lot of farm produce within a short range.

This is the cleaning up I mean. You must cut off the already harvested portion of the plantain sucker or plantain tree. When you do this it will make a lot of fresh air to blow into the farm and attract a lot of more nutrients to be supplied.
