Before you conclude this is some weird title for a movie, I'd love for you to read this review and see more into the story than it may seem before you watch the movie. First of all, it's a story that is based on a true life which makes it more than enough to learn lessons from on a personal level.
I am really loving the biography stories I've been coming across lately, this is one of them that I saw some days ago. I'm even more excited to share a review of the one I saw yesterday but I'm keeping it for next time. For today, I want to bring our minds to an exposure to a side of life and a lesson about what we tend to struggle with daily.
"Blue Miracle" is a biography movie in the genre of adventure, family and drama released in the year 2021 starring Dennis Quaid as Captain Wade, Jimmy Gonzales as Omar, Miguel Angel Garcia as Moco and Anthony Gonzalez as Geco.
The movie is about an all boys orphanage owner, Omar who is in a lot of debt. To save the orphanage and continue to raise orphan boys, he agrees to join hands with a boat captain to win in a big fishing competition. Captain Wade is not so friendly and interested to win the competition again like he did two times in a row years back, he reluctantly agrees to join hands with Omar and his orphan boys to win the prize money. The whole process of competing came with a lot of disagreement between the team with lessons.
The part with more lessons is where they had the chance to cheat in the competition, revealing that Captain Wade also cheated one time in the previous competition. They had the chance again but this time, something unexpected happened that didn't just change the outcome of the competition but also healed the thoughts and traumas the team members were facing. Knowing it's based on a true story made it real.
Although I must say one of the characters got me worked up a bit but it made sense why he was like that. Most importantly, I liked how Omar handled his attitude towards him and the others. I also loved the role of the little boy who made Omar realized himself at a point he was going to make a decision that could change their lives.
It's a good movie based on real life and I'll recommend it for those who are yet to see it. The characters did well in their roles especially Captain Wade, who have seen other movies about him before. I couldn't recognise him until now that I began to write the review. There are other things to say but I won't give more spoilers.
