Hello dear community, today I'm feeling really upset, and I've heard about this section where everyone's frustrations are read and understood.
I'm writing to tell you that since yesterday we've been having severe Electricity problems in the city of Puerto La Cruz (Anzoátegui), where I'm currently staying. It's become common to have a supposed power rationing of 5 or 6 hours a day, but yesterday the power went out for the usual 5 hours, plus three consecutive outages of 2 hours each.
It was already night there, and we were outside getting some fresh air, always trying to maintain a positive attitude and patience in these kinds of situations. The power came on for an hour and a half and then went out again from 1:30 am until 8:30 am. During that time, it was impossible for me to sleep; by 3:00 am, I had to get up because the heat was unbearable. I was like a zombie, wandering the hallway of the house trying to find a window to let in some air.
At 4:00 am I had the "brilliant" idea to go to the patio, I opened the door and sat down to cool off a bit, where I was surprised to find that I was being attacked by puripuri and mosquitoes.
I don't know if you can see the bites on my left leg in the photo, but only on that side; my other leg, arms, and back were just as covered in bites. I'm allergic to insect bites, so imagine my frustration from 4:00 am to 6:00 am this morning: no electricity, sleepy, hot, and to top it all off, with an allergic reaction all over my body. You might be wondering why I didn't leave? I repeat, it was the only place at that moment that offered any ventilation, so it was unavoidable.
I decided to have an early breakfast and try to kill time until the power came back on at 8:30 am. I charged my phone and decided to sleep a little because I felt exhausted. Thinking it wasn't going to leave, it went out again at 2:00 pm this morning. I'm writing this post right now to vent a little about everything that's been happening with these power outages. It's infuriating to think that they're not giving us a concrete solution and are only threatening to increase the hours of electricity rationing, something that's been going on for years without any solution for us.
On the other hand, right now at 6:15 pm I'm sitting here enjoying a beautiful view of the coastal sunset while I wait for the power to come back on in the next 15 minutes.

Hola querida comunidad, hoy me siento realmente molesta y he escuchado de este apartado donde son leídos y entienden un poco la molestia de cada quien.
Les cuento que desde ayer hemos tenido severos problemas de electricidad en la ciudad de Puerto La Cruz (Anzoátegui), donde me estoy quedando ahorita. Ya ha sido costumbre tener un supuesto racionamiento energético por 5 o 6 horas diarias, pero el día de ayer se fue las 5 horas habituales, más tres cortes consecutivos de 2 horas cada uno.
Allí ya era de noche y estábamos en la parte de afuera para tomar un poco de aire, siempre intentando tener buena actitud y paciencia en este tipo de situaciones. La luz llegó por una hora y media y se fue nuevamente desde la 1:30 am hasta las 8:30 am. En ese lapso se me hizo imposible dormir; ya a las 3:00 am me tuve que levantar porque el calor era insostenible, estaba modo zombie por el pasillo de la casa intentando buscar la ventana para que entrara algo de aire.
A las 4:00 am se me dio la «brillante» idea de irme al patio, abrí la puerta y me senté a refrescarme un poco, donde me llevé la sorpresa de que me estaban acribillando los puripuri y los zancudos.
No sé si pueden apreciar en la foto las picadas marcadas en mi pierna izquierda, pero solo en ese lado; en la otra pierna, brazos y espalda estaba igual de picada. Yo soy alérgica a las picaduras, imagínense la frustración que tenía de 4:00 am a 6:00 am de hoy: sin luz, con sueño, con calor y para colmo con una reacción alérgica en todo el cuerpo. ¿Ustedes dirán por qué no te fuiste de ahí? Les repito que era el único lugar en ese momento que ofrecía algo de ventilación, así que fue inevitable.
Me dispuse a desayunar temprano e intentar hacer tiempo hasta que llegó la luz a las 8:30 am. Cargué mi celular y decidí dormir un poco porque me sentía agotada. Pensando que ya no se iría, se volvió a ir a las 2:00 pm de hoy. En este momento estoy escribiendo este post para desahogarme un poco de todo lo que ha pasado con estas fallas de luz, da impotencia pensar que no nos dan una solución concreta y solo amenazan con aumentar las horas de racionamiento eléctrico, algo que viene rodando desde hace años sin solución para nosotros.
Por otro lado, ahorita estoy sentada a las 6:15 pm apreciando una vista preciosa del atardecer costero mientras espero que llegue la luz en los próximos 15 minutos.
