If I could spend New Year's Eve anywhere in the world, I would choose Dubai. It is one of the places I have always wanted to visit, and spending the last night of the year there would make the trip even more special. I have seen pictures and videos of how the city looks during the festive season, and I would love to experience it in person.
One thing I would really look forward to is seeing the fireworks around the Burj Khalifa, I heard it's the world tallest building and is famous for its new year's eve fireworks , watching the sky light up as people count down to midnight would be an amazing experience. I will also visit the Dubai mall for a little shopping, I will also love to tour around the museum of the future to check out their interesting designs. I would also take pictures and videos, not just to post online, but to keep as memories of a night I had always hoped to experience.
I would enjoy the decorations and bright lights around the city too. I like the thought of walking around and seeing people from different parts of the world coming together to celebrate. It would be interesting to hear different languages, see how other people celebrate and enjoy the general excitement in the air. Since I would be away from my usual environment, even simple things like walking through the streets or visiting a shopping centre would feel different.
Food would also be part of the experience. I would like to try some of the meals Dubai is known for, visit a nice restaurant and enjoy a relaxed dinner before the countdown. So tasting their famous Luqaimat and Knafeh would be lovely. I will not want to rush from one place to another just because there are many things to see. I would rather take my time and enjoy each moment.
I will also love to visit a few places during the day, maybe explore the city, see some of its famous buildings and enjoy the views. If possible, I would spend some time by the water and take in the evening atmosphere before getting ready for the celebration. I would want the trip to be enjoyable, not stressful.
Of course, travelling to Dubai for New Year's Eve would require planning and saving because it can be an expensive period to visit. I would need to arrange my flight, accommodation and other expenses early. Still, it is the kind of experience I would happily work towards.
For me, spending New Year's Eve in Dubai will not only be about the fireworks or the beautiful buildings. It will be about taking a break, seeing somewhere new and creating memories outside my everyday routine. I would love to welcome a new year in a place that feels exciting and different. Hopefully, one day, I will get the opportunity to experience it myself.
