My daily hobby is to capture the lives of tiny creatures hidden in nature. I came across this beautiful jumping spider on the bank of my pond. I don't have an expensive DSLR or dedicated macro lens; so I took out my smartphone from my pocket and took a few macro shots of this beautiful spider blending in with the leaves. The male and female spiders of this species look quite different; the males have white spots on their heads and abdomens and a maroon face, while the females are orange.

​Scientific name: ​The common scientific name of these jumping spiders in the scientific world is Carrhotus viduus. ​Family and Genus: ​According to the scientific classification of biology, they are animals of the Arachnida class of the Arthropoda phylum. They are mainly members of the jumping spider family Salticidae. In the scientific world, their genus or genus name is Carrhotus.

​Native and habitat: ​In terms of geographical distribution, they are found in South and Southeast Asia, such as India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, China and Vietnam. They mainly prefer to live in tropical and subtropical forests and gardens. They are usually seen more on the leaves of small trees and shrubs.

​Food: ​Like other jumping spiders, they are predatory in nature. They can move very quickly and are very good at jumping and escaping suddenly when catching prey or to protect themselves. They usually meet their food needs by hunting small flying insects in the garden.

​Reproduction: ​Their reproduction process is similar to other common spiders. After the reproductive process, the female spider lays eggs and the eggs hatch into young spiders, which later learn to survive by catching their own prey in the bushes.

​Benefits: ​They play a great role in maintaining the balance of the environment. By hunting and eating harmful small flying insects in nature, they help to keep the environment clean naturally and benefit agricultural land.

​Disadvantages: ​They do not have any direct harmful effects on humans or plants. They are completely harmless animals and do not harm nature, but rather benefit us by eating harmful insects.
