Does the Motive Matter If the Need Is Met?

One thing I have noticed about being in need of something is that, if you need it so badly you might to some extent let go of your morals and values. Day in day out we see people come on social media and literally do anything to get help or attention from others.

I’m not saying it’s a bad things, but someone who has it all might probably not do that and that’s totally okay. Thanks to social media , most of us are able to extend a helping has to others who are not doing so well in life in our own way possible. We have seen people put out gofundme’s to raise money for their healthcare or to try and get their life back after a tragic incident or tough divorce.

One thing about life is that, we are here to help one another and we wouldn’t be human if we didn’t. It could be any of us and just because it’s someone else doesn’t mean it can’t happen to you. As the days go by, we have slowing seen the emergence of social medial pages solely for the purpose of helping people and creating videos to how others how needy others are. Honestly, I don’t know what to think about that because on one angle, these people actually get the help they need but on another side, I ask myself why we have to broadcast their lowest times just to get help from others.

Maybe this is where the world has gotten to and this is how things are done now. Because most people can just come online to seek for help and get money for something which is totally non existent. Trust is a huge thing in today’s world and people sometimes tend to need hard evidence to be able to invest in you because for all we know, you could be lying. That’s totally fine.

But you see those people who act like they want to help you but truly just want to use you to gain more views and followers- they are the problem in the world today. Sometimes you might be walking on the street minding your business and someone from nowhere just fills a camera up in your face. I just pray and hope no one tries that shit with me because I’m gonna smack that camera very hard and out of my face. What happened to privacy and consent?

Did I tell you I was poor or did i even given consent to be videoed for public use. Nope. I sometimes don’t get why these creators do that. If I wanted to be pranked or made to look like a help seeking fellow, I will go through the right channels instead of being used as a rat for someone’s selfish interest. We have genuine people out there who are there to help those in need and then we have people who are just chasing clout. We know them by their actions and it’s high time we call them out. Your fellow humans problems shouldn’t be your stepping stone to social media fame!

I love how you explain this.... It's a different thing when you actually need help and it's different when I don't and you're just bringing camera to my face so I support that decision of yours of smashing their cameras though it's funny reading it

Sadly it is not easy to point out those that just wants to use the help they offer to grow their followers and those that want to genuinely offer help on camera..
