A few days ago, I talked about the leadership skill in me I didn't know I had. The annual Women's August meeting which I headed all the planning for the first time in my life, and today, I can boldly say that the event turned out to be super great.

One striking thing about the event is that it was the first time we were doing it in our parish, so being the chairperson of the planning committee was scary and overwhelming.
I didn't have any last record to stand on the existing protocol, lol, but for the first time, I initiated everything to be done. I must confess that I was scared that things might go wrong. I was scared over many things, more especially how women might finish me with side talks, but one thing I didn't fail to do was to involve the Holy Spirit to be the lead while I followed him; it was my saving grace, I must admit.
Things kept falling in the right places, and before I knew it, almost everything was in order in the evening of Saturday prior to Sunday morning, which was D-day. I slept like a baby knowing that things are under control. And then on Sunday, I escaped a home accident that could have landed me in the emergency department in the hospital. I am still shocked reflecting on what happened in my kitchen as I was preparing breakfast for my family before I leave home for the event, but in everything, God showed up and saved my life.
The event started with the kind of population I had never witnessed in our women's monthly meeting before, and I was happy and scared that the food and drinks might not be enough, hahaha. I was up and doing, running from pole to pole A to B, brainstorming with the MC for the occasion to see that things are aligned, and indeed, my fellow women surprised me, 🤭🤭 So lovely, so sweet mothers, See cooperation, togetherness, name it; it was so awesome to behold, and my apology, I didn't have all the time to cover the event with pictures, just little videos I managed to capture during our zonal Thanksgiving, but all in all, the event was so sweet.

The feedback I have been getting from mothers and my fellow excos is so encouraging. I am glad I didn't say no to this huge responsibility, and I am equally glad that I didn't fail in my duties.
