A bunch of bananas was cut because the plant fell over.

We found this banana plant fallen over this morning. My husband cut off the bunch and separated it into smaller clusters—or "hands"—so they would ripen faster; they need to be hung up. The weight of the bunch caused the plant to break. There are two other plants with bunches still on them, and we’re hoping they don’t fall too. Tomorrow, my husband is going to give the fallen plant to a friend to use as feed for some cows he’s raising.
