Aging Into Grumpy Old Fart .:. WorkerBee PH-Pool Week 297

It's hard to keep up with positivity with all the shit happening around... I blame history... If I didn't know how it COULD be and how it WAS, I would be more positive... But that also works the other way around: if you know how it was in the bad times, you know that this isn't as bad as it could be... Yesterday, I talked with a childhood friend, and at one point he told me something like I put in the title... "It looks like you are converting into "that" grumpy old guy"... Fair enough... Maybe I do...

I don't deny it... I try to understand why... I try to understand the trigger... Maybe to "isolate" it, or ignore it, and try to "un-grumpy" myself... 😃 Let me explain... As I previously explained, I hate the word "hate", so I will try to replace it with "dislike"... But you can interpret it as you wish...

I dislike hearing those loud motorcycles on the street, in the middle of the night, with illegally tuned-up exhausts... I don't understand why someone would do it. I know teenagers do not need specific reasons... Maybe to stick out, or to be noticed, or to blend-in to others... As a matter of fact, it doesn't matter why... It's annoying; it's disturbing to 99% of people, and it's not respectable...

Speaking of which, when I wanted to understand WHY, I got to the point where 2 reasons stick out... Something that I can't accept, and I was raised differently... I was raised to call my grandparents Mr or Mrs, and to shut up when they were speaking... Even if I thought I was right... I would shut up and listen... Maybe not accept it, but will listen with respect... I couldn't do shit like these teenagers with motorcycles under the window at 2 AM... C'mon... My neighbours would kick my ass, and later on, my parents would do the same... 😂

The other word is "responsibility"... In this microwave society, everyone thinks NOW is the most important, as if there is no future at all... Whatever shit I do today, nobody would keep me accountable tomorrow... Well, in some way that's understandable, as we have so many bad examples out there, so we can't blame youngsters and kids for imitating them... Politicians, musicians, junk influencers, etc.

That would be true if you didn't put all your "home shenanigans" online, on YT, TikTok, or other social media... How the f^&% can I put in trust my life to a doctor who does illegal street racing in his free time? Or preaching you're a vegan on the Internet and having dinners at Popeye's... Don't tell me you can be irresponsible at home and serious and accountable at work...

It's very nice and appealing to live without responsibility... Imagine having kids and having 0 responsibility toward them? Oh, it's happening in some families... It is appealing, almost like living without a brain... No brain, no pain...

We need to pull the handbrake ASAP... I don't see the current scenario developing in a good direction... Or maybe AI will be more responsible than we are and could save us all? I don't know... I'm just a grumpy old fart...

What about the bonus tokens?

Last week it was LEN tokens; this week it's another @liotes token up for the bonus! The acquired CTPSB tokens is here to stay... To stick to the topic, it's easy to spend someone else's money, but it's not really responsible to do so... At Liotes, Achim and I try to give the maximum value to all people who trust in us, and with maximum responsibility to the funds given to us. The "price" for that is slower growth, but on the other side, there are tons of backups if something goes wrong... It's not all thin air and promises... That's why our tokens most of the time go up in value, as they are backed by value!

There will be 3.7 CTPSB tokens distributed to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!

3.7 CTPSB tokens will be distributed as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 14.355%, and when we added the bonus, it went up to 17.293%!

I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens when creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price... Currently, the BUY side of the WORKERBEE tokens is very thin, and it's hard to calculate the middle price.

Well!, I totally get it!, ask the Retired ones, like me.

I strongly believe and very well understand that 'growing older' just so simply, gives us, a much better appreciation, for peace, respect, knowledge and our own learnings and more so, the most simple things, that actually matter, in all probability.

I guess sometimes I must be living under a rock... delegated 20 WORKERBEE to @ph1102 because they were pretty much just "sitting there."

This world of ours... it feels like everything is "shortening." The human experience known as anticipation has been almost completely replaced by immediacy. As a kid, I remember sending off money by mail and then you waited for a week; two weeks before what you wanted arrived in the mail. You had to look forward to getting what you wanted... it didn't just come to an Amazon locker near you, a couple of hours later.

Frankly, I think we've lost a part of our humanity, there.

Consider that days are still 24 hours long, and babies still take about 8-9 months to arrive. The natural cycle of existence remains...

To add my own bit of grump: I hate those bored out mnotorcycles as well... and the guys in cars with 500watt stereos you can hear from a mile away. I didn't even like them when I was a teenager, though...

I think the times have changed. It reminds me where someone said he would rather make an AI version of himself to talk to the baby rather than himself. It sounds so weird and I could never think of doing that to my own child.

Respect, as one of the most valuable human qualities, has long been out of price. What young people (and children) watch on TV and the Internet, various reality programs, instill in them the need for proof and the desire "for more". And when someone has grown up to want more for himself, to not respect the people around him and to have the need to prove himself among his equals, of course he won't think about the noise he makes, won't keep quiet when the elders are talking and maybe won't give you a seat on the bus, but will ask you: "Where are you going, old man".

In such a world of young people, unfortunately, those kids who were brought up to respect others and not to push each other to get a free seat on the bus are the ones who get screwed...
