My Visit to the Hernan Marin Amphitheater (Eng/Esp)

After spending some time under the multicolored lights of the butterfly sculpture located on the Cinta Costera, I finally arrived at the Hernán Marín Amphitheater, an outdoor cultural venue right on Avenida Perimetral. From here, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Marina Plaza Shopping Center, behind which lies a pier where only recreational boats are moored.

I entered through the side of the amphitheater and climbed a flight of stairs to look out at the beach from a different perspective. The word “Venezuela,” illuminated in the colors of the flag, was one of the main attractions. Nearby, a small scale model boat was another symbol that complemented the decor of this place.

From the top, you can take in a stunning panoramic view; numerous circular staircases allow us to find a spot to enjoy the scheduled event, which almost always features musical performances featuring the cuatro and the mandolin. I went down to admire the beautiful mural on the wall, which depicts a portrait of Hernán Marín alongside an image of San Antonio de la Eminencia Castle; a boat and a pelican are also visible.

The place is well-lit and very colorful; nighttime is the coolest time to exercise, take a stroll, and admire the seascape. I’ve passed through here several times in the morning, but the relentless Cumana sun has prevented me from enjoying these facilities.

A special mention goes to the gardens, which look clean and well-manicured. I went back up to enjoy the heart-shaped sculpture; its white glow with pink hues drew me to it. This is a favorite spot for couples in love, as they take photos there with this backdrop.

I enjoyed strolling through the Hernán Marín Amphitheater, a well-deserved tribute to this artist from Cumana. I wanted to reflect for a while amid the sea, the moon, and the stars, but there were quite a few people walking around me, so I spent my time taking several photos and breathing in the fresh air.

Tras pasar un rato bajo las luces multicolores de la mariposa ubicada en la Cinta Costera, finalmente llegué al Anfiteatro Hernán Marín, un espacio para la cultura al aire libre en plena Avenida Perimetral. Desde aquí se aprecia una vista espectacular del Centro Comercial Marina Plaza, cuya zona posterior es un muelle donde reposan exclusivamente embarcaciones recreativas.

Entré por el lateral del anfiteatro, unas escaleras me sirvieron para ascender y mirar la playa desde otra perspectiva. La palabra Venezuela, iluminada con los colores de la bandera, era una de las principales atracciones. Muy cerca, un pequeño bote a escala era otro símbolo que estaba acorde con la decoración de este lugar.

Desde lo alto se percibe una vista panorámica muy atractiva, múltiples escaleras de forma circular nos permiten posicionarnos para disfrutar el evento programado, casi siempre obras musicales asociadas al cuatro y la mandolina. Descendí para apreciar el hermoso mural en la pared, allí está el retrato de Hernán Marín junto a una imagen del castillo San Antonio de la Eminencia, también se aprecia un bote y un pelícano.

El lugar está bastante iluminado y es muy colorido, la noche es el momento más fresco para hacer ejercicio, pasear y contemplar lo que nos ofrece el paisaje marino. En varias ocasiones he pasado por acá en la mañana y el implacable sol cumanés no me ha permitido disfrutar de estas instalaciones.

Mención aparte para los jardines que lucen limpios y podados. Volví a subir para disfrutar de la escultura de un corazón, su luminiscencia blanca con tonos rosa me guió hasta ella, este es lugar predilecto para las parejas enamoradas, pues allí se toman fotografías con este fondo.

Me gustó pasear por el Anfiteatro Hernán Marín, un merecido tributo a este artista cumanés. Quise reflexionar un rato entre el mar, la luna y las estrellas, pero había bastante gente caminando a mi alrededor, así que me dediqué a tomar varias fotografías y a respirar aire puro.
