I played another ranked game today. I was matched up against WEATHERLOVE. The Mana Cap was 43 and all elements were available. There was also a Power of 8 modifier meaning all the cards with exactly 8 Mana will get some bonus. I chose Thalgrimore as my Summoner and picked 5 cards. Overall, this was a good decision as I got another win!
Battle details
Mana Cap: 43
Elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Life, Death, Dragon
Modifier: Power of 8 (Units with exactly 8 Mana will receive +1 Speed and +2 Armor.)
My Team
Summoner: Thalgrimore
1st: Nim Guard Captain
2nd: Sorrow Harvester
3rd: Vengeful Monk
4th: New Beluroc Aegis
5th: Black Widow
I chose to play 5 cards in this battle. I wanted to use the Mana Cap to its full potential and have a good synergy.
I started off with the Nim Guard Captain and then put the Sorrow Harvester in 2nd. Then I used the Vengeful Monk as my 3rd card and New Beluroc Aegis as my 4th. I finished off with the Black Widow.
I was interested to see how this would fair against their team.
Battle
I was matched up against WEATHERLOVE who had a pretty interesting team. I knew it would be a bit of a challenge but I managed to win in 5 rounds.
Whilst playing I had to think about the Power of 8 modifier. As this only helps cards with exactly 8 Mana.
A good thing for me was I didn’t have to have a big team to get a good result. I only had 5 cards and were able to beat their team. I had chosen a good Summoner with Thalgrimore and was happy with how the battle went.
I managed to defeat WEATHERLOVE and get another win in ranked. It was good to see my team do well and I didn’t have to play for long!
I earned +40 Rating from this battle. This means I am now on 920 Rating. I am still in division 8 but am slowly improving. I also earned 110 Glint from this match.
Overall this was a good ranked match. I managed to win in 5 rounds and earn Rating and Glint. Hopefully I can continue to improve!
Looking into the future
I am now on 920 Rating. My goal is to continue to increase my rating and move on from division 8.
I would like to try different card combos. I have a lot more to try and think it would be good to try different teams to see what works best in a battle. Let’s see how I do in my next ranked matches!
