Recently there has been a lot of hype about AI actually not just recently it has been going on before that too for the last two years since AI started becoming more public ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini and many other apps that people are now using regularly. There are restrictions given in these properly good guidelines are given too but whether they are actually there properly or not I have no idea but as far as I know if AI is given any weird command then it does not accept it.
Anyway there are some people who are of a very bad mindset who use AI to make pictures of people make videos and that too disgusting pictures they are removing someone's clothes making obscene videos about someone that they did not do. Something like this happened in Bangladesh a female content creator who used to do TikTok regularly and had a lot of fan following suddenly a video of hers went viral where it was seen that she was taking off her clothes and doing obscene things. So when the video went viral people naturally assumed that it was a real video no one thought that it could be AI because apparently it looked real. I actually do not watch these kinds of videos or I actually remove them I never want to see such distorted videos. I am only saying this based on what people said and the comments since it was also in the news.
So later the girl whose video had gone viral went to the police station and filed a GD and showed her original video at the police station. In the original video she did not do the things that were shown in the obscene video after she filed the GD the police traced the location and managed to catch the person who made this video. He was arrested and the court took steps to punish him. So the question is can AI be blamed for this? I would say no because this is a technology it cannot work on its own obviously someone has to give a command and then it does some work now if someone uses AI to harm another person then that is very bad.
I think instead of making AI public it should be limited to the government then most of the crimes will decrease. Otherwise ordinary people will become victims like this and I think using AI should be made illegal only using it for taking ideas or for work purposes should be permitted. Other than that creating images with these should be stopped. People can do anything in the name of freedom so if restrictions are not given then people will go crazy and do everything. Think about that girl that content creator how traumatized she must have become. What would the people who saw such a video think about her and what would her family members think or what things would her relatives have said to her. Although the video was fake the body part shown in the video looked real with that girl's face to everyone now that is what people will remember even though that body part did not belong to that girl.
The girl was brave so she is still creating content and she is moving on forgetting the past but not everyone is mentally that strong many people can take the wrong step when these things happen. So to save our people we definitely need to reduce the use of AI. I still will not blame AI I am blaming people for this and that is why I am saying it is better not to put AI in the hands of such people. Such strict measures should be taken so that AI does not reach everyone.
