A few months ago, my friends from Píldora Roja invited me to a bird photography session along the western coast of Havana. Following the lead of my friend @muhammadhalim, who is a true expert on the subject, we all headed to Playa del Chivo for an exercise in contemplation, observing the birds in their natural surroundings and trying to capture their beauty.
That day, I took some photographs that I consider among my best when it comes to bird photography. Considering that I rarely practice this kind of photography, I'm quite happy with the results. But even while exploring this new territory, I never lost sight of the essence of the photography I love most: documentary photography.
Today, I'm sharing a mixture of both approaches, where observing nature meets my usual way of looking at the world through the lens.

Hace unos meses, los amigos de Píldora Roja me invitaron a una sesión de fotografía de aves en la costa del occidente habanero. Siguiendo las indicaciones de mi amigo @muhammadhalim, que es un verdadero experto en el tema, nos fuimos todos hasta la playa del Chivo para hacer un ejercicio de contemplación, observar las aves en su entorno natural e intentar captar su belleza.
Aquel día hice algunas fotos que considero de las mejores que he logrado en lo que a fotografía de aves se refiere. Teniendo en cuenta que nunca practico este tipo de fotografía, estoy bastante satisfecho con los resultados. Pero, incluso explorando este nuevo terreno, no perdí de vista la esencia de la fotografía que más me gusta: la documental.
Hoy les muestro una mezcla de ambas formas de mirar, donde la observación de la naturaleza se encuentra con mi manera habitual de observar el mundo a través del lente.
