Hello Everyone! Hope you all are doing amazing and welcome to another #Splinterlands post.
Alright, time for another #Splinterlands card spotlight!
Today I'm looking at a card from the Death Splinter that I think can be pretty annoying for the opponent, specially when they are depending heavily on magic damage.
The card I'm talking about is, Daigendark Hunter.
Daigendark Hunter is a Rare Death unit with 2 abilities at Level 8, which is its max level.
And honestly, the abilities are pretty simple, but they can be very useful when you build the right team around them.
At max level, the card has:
Mana Cost: 6
Ranged Attack: 4
Health: 7
Speed: 4
And the two abilities are:
Sneak – Targets the enemy unit in the last position.
Silence – Reduces the Magic Power of all enemy units by 1.
So basically, this card can attack the enemy backline while also making their magic attackers weaker.
Not bad at all.

First Impressions
The first thing that caught my attention with Daigendark Hunter is obviously the 4 ranged attack.
For a 6 mana card, that's actually pretty decent.
It's not some crazy high damage number, but it's enough to make the card a real threat, specially when it's attacking the enemy's backline.
And that's where Sneak comes in.
Instead of attacking the enemy tank, Daigendark Hunter goes straight for the unit sitting in the last position.
This can be really annoying.
A lot of players like putting important support cards or damage dealers towards the back.
So having a unit that can directly target them is always useful.
Ability 1: Sneak
Sneak: Targets the enemy unit in the last position.

Let's talk about the first ability.
Sneak.
It's a very straightforward ability:
Daigendark Hunter attacks the enemy unit in the last position.
This means you don't always have to fight your way through the enemy tank first.
You can start attacking their backline immediately.
And if their last-position unit has low health...
Well, Daigendark Hunter might remove it pretty quickly.
That's especially useful against teams that put healers, support units or ranged attackers at the back.
Take out those units and suddenly the enemy team becomes much easier to deal with.
Ability 2: Silence
Silence: -1 magic power to all enemy units.

This is probably the ability that makes Daigendark Hunter more interesting.
Silence reduces Magic Power by 1 for all enemy units.
And this isn't targeting just one enemy.
It's affecting all of them.
If your opponent has several magic attackers, that's a pretty big deal.
For example, imagine the enemy has a full lineup built around magic damage.
Normally, those units might be hitting pretty hard.
But with Silence active, all of their magic power gets reduced by 1.
That can make a noticeable difference over several rounds.
And that's something I really like about this card.
It's not only attacking.
It's also weakening the opponent at the same time.
Sneak + Silence Is A Nice Combination
This is probably my favorite part of Daigendark Hunter.
The two abilities do completely different things, but they work nicely together.
Sneak gives you offensive pressure.
Silence gives you defensive value.
So while Daigendark Hunter is shooting at the enemy backline, it's also helping your team survive against magic attacks.
That's a pretty good combination.
You're basically getting a damage dealer and a little bit of anti-magic support in the same card.
The 4 Ranged Attack Is Pretty Solid
I also think the 4 ranged attack deserves some attention.
At 6 mana, Daigendark Hunter isn't exactly cheap.
But you're getting a decent amount of damage for that mana.
And because it's using ranged attacks, it can stay away from the frontline and keep attacking from a safer position.
Of course, ranged units aren't completely safe.
Sneak attackers and Opportunity units can still cause problems.
But if you protect Daigendark Hunter properly, it can keep firing every round.
And 4 damage per attack can add up VERY quickly.
The 7 Health Helps Too
The card has 7 health, which I think is pretty reasonable.
It's not a tank.
Definitely don't put it in the first position just because it has 7 health.
But 7 health does give it a little bit of breathing room.
If the enemy has a weak Sneak attacker, Daigendark Hunter might survive long enough to deal some serious damage back.
And with 4 speed, it also isn't particularly slow.
So overall, the stats are pretty balanced for what the card is trying to do.
When Would I Use It?
Personally, I think Daigendark Hunter becomes much more interesting when I know the opponent might use a lot of magic damage.
That's because of Silence.
If the enemy is mostly using melee and ranged attacks, you're not getting as much value from that ability.
But against magic-heavy teams?
Now we're talking.
Reducing the magic power of every enemy unit by 1 can really hurt their overall damage output.
And while that's happening, Daigendark Hunter is still attacking the backline.
That's a pretty nice situation.
What I Like
4 ranged attack is pretty good
Sneak gives direct backline pressure
Silence affects the entire enemy team
7 health gives it decent survivability
4 speed is respectable
Great against magic-heavy teams
Useful in longer battles
Can attack important support units directly
What I Don't Like
6 mana can be expensive in some battles
7 health isn't enough to make it a tank
Vulnerable to Sneak and Opportunity
Silence is less useful against non-magic teams
Needs protection to reach its full potential
CONCLUSION
Overall, I think Daigendark Hunter is a pretty interesting Death unit.
It's not one of those cards where you look at it and immediately think:
"THIS THING IS BROKEN!"
But that's not really the point.
It's a card that gives you consistent value.
It has a respectable ranged attack.
It can hit the enemy backline with Sneak.
And it can reduce the magic power of the entire enemy team with Silence.
That's a pretty useful combination.
I especially like the idea of using it against magic-heavy teams.
Instead of just trying to survive their magic damage, you're actually reducing their damage while attacking their backline at the same time.
That's always nice.
Anyway thats it for today’s #Splinterlands grind. Please do give your reviews in the comments section below. I would really appreciate it :)
I'll be back with another one soon. So do follow me if you want to stay updated. Till then, Stay Happy and Stay Hydrated.
