La niña se notaba triste y muy preocupada, las cosas no salían como esperaba, cada día se le dificultaba más estudiar, pero no por ella que era una excelente estudiante, sino que veía el agotamiento físico y mental que iba mermando la sonrisa de sus padres. Ellos seguían esforzándose porque todo en la casa continuara igual, pero se notaba las dificultades para conseguir el dinero en la semana.
Hubo un día que en la despensa solo quedaba pan y papas. La niña notando la angustia de sus padres, les sonrió y les recordó la ocasión en la que su padre preparó un pan con aquello verde que no resulto nada mal y es noche vieron una película comiendo pan tostado y papas al ajillo. Aquello les pareció una bendición a la familia, pues después de todo al menos tenían para comer.
Y así fue como nació el plato favorito de la familia, el más sencillo y bendecido por todos, aquel que no se le debe a nadie y alcanza para todos, llenando los estómagos en cada ocasión que se sientan tristes.

The little girl looked sad and very worried. Things weren't going as she'd hoped; studying was getting harder every day, not because of her—she was an excellent student—but because she saw the physical and mental exhaustion that was slowly fading her parents' smiles. They kept trying to keep things running smoothly at home, but the struggle to make ends meet each week was evident.
One day, all that was left in the pantry was bread and potatoes. Noticing her parents' distress, the little girl smiled at them and reminded them of the time her father had made some bread with that green stuff that hadn't turned out badly. That night, they watched a movie eating toast and garlic potatoes. It felt like a blessing to the family, because after all, at least they had something to eat.
And that's how the family's favorite dish was born, the simplest and most blessed of all, the one that isn't owed to anyone and is enough for everyone, filling their stomachs whenever they feel sad.
