The Underground Cave.

I returned to the cavern, diving through a long underwater tunnel to reach a scary underground cave. After dying to a hidden trap, I respawned, cut the trap wire, and pulled off risky wall climbs and rope swings to cross a wide gap. Then I uncovered a journal page beside old skeletons.

Heading back to the cavern entrance, I stepped inside to continue my main quest. Searching the first dark area, I found a deep underwater hole leading forward.

Hoping no piranhas were swimming nearby to tear me apart, I took a breath and dived into the water. The underwater route was long and tight, but I managed to locate a small air pocket halfway through to catch my breath before swimming up to solid ground.

The new chamber was dark and scary, filled with strange, creepy noises that put me on high alert. Moving ahead too quickly, I tripped a hidden wire and died instantly in a sharp trap.

After respawning back at the safe ground, I walked forward slowly, spotted the tripwire in time, and cut it with my knife to pass through safely.

Looking up toward the ceiling, I spotted a dead body hanging high above the path and started searching for a way up to it.

I began a series of risky wall climbs, digging my climbing axes into the rough stone and making several long jumps over deep drops. The unsettling sounds echoing through the cave made every step feel tense.

Reaching a high point, I attached my rope, rappelled down the wall, and swung back and forth to clear a wide gap, and landed safely on the far ledge.

Squeezing through a tight gap in the rocks, something flickered in the shadows ahead, accompanied by a loud, scary noise that almost made me jump out of my seat.

Moving past the scare, I came across a pile of old human skeletons lying on the floor. Right beside the bones, I found a collectible item, a missing page from the journal of Saint Serrano.

That underwater section had me expecting something to jump out the whole time, so reaching the air pocket instead must've felt like finding a five-star hotel down there.

The wall climbing looked stressful enough already, then the game added those creepy cave noises just to make sure there was absolutely no relaxing.

  • The underwater tunnel was scary, but the hidden trap made the cave even more dangerous. I liked how you learned from the first death and carefully cut the wire after respawning.

  • Dying to the trap and then coming back to carefully cut the wire was a good recovery. That first mistake definitely taught you to slow down.
