Surabaya’s Swan Park Features European-style Architecture

it looks so majestic!

If you find yourself in West Surabaya, you need to make time to visit this particular park. Beyond offering a spacious area to unwind, the architecture of this park is truly stunning, too!

With the shady trees, European-style building backdrops, and a lake at the center where swans swim freely, this park is the perfect spot for a quick escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Not a Public Tourist Attraction

Before diving deeper, here’s a fun fact: this swan park isn't actually a public tourist attraction. It was originally created by the residential developer to enhance the area's aesthetics.

However, many people of the general public now enjoy the park's facilities for jogging or relaxing by the lake. I’m pretty sure visitors make use of the park while respecting the boundaries set by local residents. Security guards are on duty daily, but there are designated visiting hours that allow non-residents to enjoy the park as well.

The Appeal of the Swan Lake

True to its name, one of the park's main attractions is the swans themselves. You’ll see plenty of them swimming freely in the middle of the lake, while others wander along the water's edge.

The area is clean and surrounded by neatly arranged plants and rock features. It’s no wonder why the lake has become a favorite spot for visitors to relax, gazing at the calm waters with the white swans glide back and forth.

A Great Spot for Casual Exercise

While the swan lake offers a peaceful setting to unwind, the surrounding area is perfect for casual exercise. You can take a walk along the available jogging track.

Shaded by lush trees, the park offers a cooler environment for exercising. Late afternoon is an ideal time to exercise here in my opinion, as the weather and the air remain pleasantly comfortable.

Architecture with a European Vibe

Another highlight of the swan park is the presence of structures featuring pillars reminiscent of Ancient Roman architecture. These pillars stand tall and majestic, supporting the structures while adding an elegant touch to the park.

In addition to the grand pillars, there are also smaller gazebo-like structures. With their matching white color, the buildings in the swan park look truly magnificent.

With its European-style architecture, the area looks incredibly grand when photographed from certain angles. The park successfully combines beautiful scenery with iconic architecture.

A Photo Spot and Family Recreation Area

Thanks to the scenery it offers, every corner of this swan park can be an amazing photo spot. The lake area, set against a backdrop of buildings featuring European-style pillars, creates the impression of being abroad (at least for me lol).

Many families also use this park for a quick recreational outing. Families often sit by the lake, feeding their children while the little ones enjoy watching the swans swim.

Children frequently bring food for the swans as well. While the animals are not aggressive, parents should still keep safety in mind. Since the swan lake is unfenced, parents should ensure their children maintain a safe distance from the water to prevent any incidents.

The swan park is located within the Pakuwon City residential complex. I think its location is quite strategic and easily accessible. And admission is completely free; you do not have to pay a single penny.

According to the latest information, the residential management has established specific visiting hours for the general public, which is 6 am to 9 am, and in the afternoon at 3 pm to 5 pm.

This park, featuring European-style architecture, is a delightful place to visit. Every corner offers beauty that can be enjoyed without spending any money at all. What do you think?
