Solos Solar Array production stats - August 2026

The total solar energy captured was very close to previous months report, so it has been quite bright outside of lately. I think the days are starting to get shorter, so soon I think we will see the number drop. But for now I expect to stay over 3 Megawatt hours of production a month unless we have a bunch of storms. We are in a really bad drought right now, so it has been quite the opposite of that. I guess good for the solar panels but hard on everything else around here.

In the month of August we produced 3285.3 kWh (3.28 Mwh) on the farm.

Using excess solar power the farm mined 0.00170221 Bitcoin valued at $135.28 based on the current Bitcoin price of $79,475

Mining hardware: 2x Bitmain Antminer S21 Pros running at 7800 watts. Cooled using AC Infinity inline fans.

I have seen Solar energy being mentioned more and more this year, and local houses have started installing some. I have also heard recently that the UK is legalising portable plug-in solar panels. Furthermore, I think they will be a nice addition for those who can't quite fork out for the standard ones.

Solid numbers, as always. Great post. Always an interesting read, not only from you but from others on the chain who have invested in Solar Energy.

It must be very satisfying to be able to produce your own energy. I would certainly have a great sense of peace knowing that, in a way, I could be independent, especially in a world where everything depends on energy to function

You do get very conscious of the weather and day length when you have solar. You see the variation over the year, but just have to make the most of what you get.

Wow, I have no idea solar can be used for something like this. I haven't seen or heard about it( still now). This is cool. ☺️

I would say that these numbers are quite consistent, @solominer.

In Brazil, this type of energy is not yet very popular. However, it's gradually increasing.

Those are pretty solid numbers! I'm still just dreaming of building my solar farm, as I have to save some money to buy land since I live in an apartment... 😞 Anyways, I'm following the numbers from a couple of you Hivers and Solar OGs... ;)

Thanks for the update. We have a guy a few miles away from us that has really built out a nice solar array for himself. I'm always a bit jealous when I drive by. It looks like he started small with just something on the roof of his shed, but then he went with full panels on metal framing.
