Recently, there has been a loud alarm in my community about how quickly everything edible and basic has become fake, and it's almost impossible to find good products in the market. We know this struggle has existed for a long time, but the rate at which fake products are flooding the market is alarming these days.
Some weeks ago, even the vice president of my dear nation complained that he noticed that he had a system change (ill health) when he had a drink. Mind you, this is the vice president, who, under normal circumstances, cannot go for low-quality products, but he couldn't escape buying the fake product of the drink he had, and that's because the products are everywhere and not just there for the poor to consume.
As it stands now, all the fruits that are being sold in the market are being treated with chemicals in one way or the other, and they're not safe for consumption. And meanwhile, fruits are what everyone is being admonished to eat to keep a good health system. You can't even talk about drinks. All the drinks we know today have fakes, and the worst scenario is that fake products are more in the market compared to the original ones. So people get to consume the fake ones more.
Another worst sector is the drugs sector. Imagine if someone is sick, goes to the pharmacy to buy medicine to treat the sickness, and buys fake medicine. That means adding more health issues to the sickness that's already there. A large quantity of drugs in the market today is fake and that's what everyone has been taking in, into the body.
There's a video that trended about how colouring chemicals are being added to red oil to make it more red before pushing it to the market. These are the local markets where food items are hardly regulated.
