Happy Guy Fawkes Night! This is when Brits traditionally let off fireworks to terrify all the animals and mark the anniversary of a plot to blow up parliament.

What is your main event for fireworks?

The photo is actually from last New Year when we were out in a boat on Venice lagoon.

    I can understand Americans celebrating treason on Independence Day.

    Guy Fawkes Night fireworks and a New Year photo from a boat on the Venice lagoon, that is a proper way to mark a plot to blow up parliament.

    I didn't know about this commemoration. I don't like fireworks and every time here there is s similar "show" (usually on December 31) I close every window at home waiting the end. I did the same when I was a child. 😃
